someone asked me today 'What do you have to do to become a Pastor'
Do you attend college or enter a pastor house ?
My answer - i have no idea
I would be gratefull if someone could answer this question for me

First of all, you must be called by God to be a pastor. Most pastors attend a theological seminary or bible college, yes.

If....someone should decide to be a pastor on his own, without God's calling....he'll never make it...the enemy will eat him up for lunch.

God bless our pastors. I've got a great one at my church, I praise God for him. He got his bachelor's degree at Union University and then got his Masters degree at Trinity Theological seminary.
And he loves the Word of God, and preaches like it!

Love,

Hi mounty, I would say that the first thing required to become a Pastor, is having a call from God. By that I mean you have to feel in your spirit that God is calling you into the ministry. This call is often confirmed by other Christians, who recognise your gift as you perhaps share something from God's word.

Ephesians ch 4 v 1 - 16 The bible informs us that after Jesus had risen from the dead, and ascended back to heaven, it says that He gave gifts unto men, through the Holy Spirit. So the first thing to note is that it is Jesus who gives these gifts. "Apostles,... Prophets,... Pastors,... Evengelist's,... Teachers,... to prepare Gods people for works of service........"

Any who feel called into the Christian Ministry, would then need to prepare by attending a Bible School for a few years.
