Tithing

I am a street singer, so it stands to reason money is scarce. Many years ago I was reading from the book of Malachi where God challenged me regarding tithing I sought wisdom on this and I found the general rule of thumb is ten percent, that's ten pence in the pound leaving ninety. That's not a bad deal thought I, so Helen, my wife and I started to put ten percent aside from my busking money and it was surprising how quickly it mounted up, leaving enough to help whenever God moved us to do so. On occasions, people who had come to know that God had funds in our home, would ask if there was any available, maybe for someone who had need or even for their own. This has, over the years, become a powerful witness of the love of God and a powerful blessing to Helen and I. Worth a thought, don't you think? Bless you. Trevor..
