In order to become sons and heirs of God with their name in the book of life, those who believe in the name of Jesus Christ to be forgiven of sins that walk with the Spirit of Christ overcome the things of the world as God works in our life to conform us to the likeness of Jesus Christ. Our freedom of religion in the first amendment of our Constitution was written to protect citizens from the government interfering with how we practice our religion.
However, laws have been passed and judgments have been made (such as using tax dollars to murder babies and promoting homosexuality) that place believers in contention with the law for following the Spirit of Christ so they might be conformed to His image to be sons and heirs of God with their name securely in the book of life. This is why followers of Christ should not support candidates whose agenda is against Christ and scripture in the Bible.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, // idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, // envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, thatthose who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). Those who practice or condone sexual intimacy between men with men or women with women prevent their self from becoming heirs of God because such relationships are contrary to Christ and the Law of righteousness.
He who overcomes (world) shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son (Revelation 21:7). In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).Jesus Christ overcame the world, so that by our receiving His Spirit we will overcome the world and sin as we are made in His image to become a son and heir of God with our name secured in the Book of Life to go out no more.
We overcome the world as God cleanses us of unrighteousness and Christ is formed in us to become an heir of God with our name in the book of life.
He who overcomes (the world) shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; (Revelation 3:5a).
What is it to “overcome the world” to become a son and heir of God with our name in the Book of Life? Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:15-17).
We gain the victory over the world and sin as God cleanses us of unrighteousness by repenting and confessing our sins. As we follow the Spirit of Christ, we learn not to submit to the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, as we spiritually mature by Jesus Christ being formed in us to be a son and heir of God.
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God (1 John 5:5)? We can have confidence that if we believe Jesus is the Christ; we will overcome the world by following the Holy Spirit of Christ as we are led to become a son and heir of God with out name secured in the book of life to go out no more.
..….(God)condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:3b-4). The righteousness of the Law is fulfilled in us who walk according to the Spirit (not after the flesh) as Christ lives in and through us because we are born of God.
Whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8:29).Because Jesus Christ (Whose image we are made into) followed the Law of righteousness, we are made the righteousness of the Law as Christ is formed in us by repenting and confessing our sins to become a son God. The Law says it is an abomination for a man to lie with a man as with a woman. How can we be made in the image of Christ if our lifestyle is contrary to that of Christ and the Law of righteousness?
He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked (1 John 2:6). The Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good (Romans 7:12). He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct (1 Peter 1:15).……….He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, (Romans 8:29a).
Jesus Christ the Son of God, our High Priest (Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, Hebrews 13:8) was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15b).Sin is the transgression of the Law (1 John 3:4). You (a male) shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22).
We overcome “the world” (the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – 1 John 2:16) as Christ is formed in us to become sons and heirs of God, so that the righteousness of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:14). Jesus Christ who was born under the Mosaic Law, (did not sin - Hebrews 4:15, which is transgression of the Law-1 John 3:4) says that, if a man lies with a male as he lies with a female, both of them have committed an abomination (Leviticus 20:13a). There shall by no means enter it (Holy New Jerusalem) anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 21:27).
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother (1 John 3:10). Those who practice unrighteousness (such as sexual relationships between men with men, or women with women) need to repent to become sons/heirs of God.
Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (Matthew 7:23)
Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15a). We are made alive together with the Spirit of Christ as a child of God when God forgives us by repenting and confessing our sins as we trust in the name of Jesus Christ to be forgiven. We overcome the world as we are conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ to be sons and heirs of God with our name in the book of life. But if we willfully continue to practice unrighteousness, we hinder our self from being forgiven to be saved and overcoming the world by being made in the likeness of Jesus Christ to become a son and heir of God. Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:24).
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit (Romans 8:1-4). Even though we are not "under the Law", we learn to practice the righteousness of the Law as we are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ by following as the Spirit of Christ leads us.
Romans 1:20-32 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, (21) because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (22) Professing to be wise, they became fools, (23) and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. (24) Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, (25) who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (26) For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. (27) Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. (28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; (29) being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, (30) backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, (31) undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; (32) who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
The kingdoms of this world will become Kingdoms of our Lord (Jesus Christ) and of His Christ (holy bride-saints) when followers of Christ stand up for righteousness and practice love as we are transformed into the image of Christ.
With love in Christ,……and may God bless
