1 John 2:3-6 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
“3By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments. 4If anyone says, ‘I know Him,’ but does not keep His commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5But if anyone keeps His word, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him: 6Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked.”
There are many people in this world of ours, at least there are in the USA, where I live, who profess faith in Jesus Christ with their lips but whose hearts are far from God, for sin is still what they practice and not obedience to God and to His commands. And among them are the malicious, morally impure, deceivers, manipulators, opportunists, liars, the untrustworthy, egocentrics, and fakes who fake their Christianity and who speak lies about what they are really doing behind closed doors when no one else is looking.
They may give off the outward impression that they are doing well, and that they are following Jesus with their lives, but they are lying. They have not changed course, but they are still committing the same sins over again, deliberately and habitually. They are still on a moral and ethical decline. And the reason for most of this is their pride. Their pride will not allow them to change course and to humble themselves before God in true repentance and to yield control of their lives over to God. And they are worsening; sinking.
Therefore, even though their lips may profess faith in Jesus Christ, and they may even read the Scriptures and attend weekly “church” gatherings, and they may even be church leaders, including the pastors, if they do not obey God’s commands, but they continue in deliberate and habitual sin against God, instead, they are liars if they claim that they are followers of Christ, that they believe in Jesus and in His sacrifice for the sins of the world. For to know God we must obey God and not obey sin, and follow where He leads.
1 John 2:15-17 BSB (Berean Standard Bible)
“15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world. 17The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever.”
Now this word “love” is “agape,” which means “to prefer.” Usually it is used in the context of love which comes from God and which prefers what God prefers, which is all that is holy, righteous, honest, faithful, morally pure, upright, and godly. But in this context it is used referring to those who prefer the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life over God, over His commands, and over their marriages, too (for those who are married). And so they continue in deliberate and habitual sin against God.
Many of them are addicted to sexual sin and pornography or anything visual, or what is just in their minds or in their memories, which stirs up unnatural and sinful desires within them. For their sexual sin is the true love of their lives – not God and not their spouses (if they are married). For they are the selfish and the self-indulgent who keep returning to the same sins over again. And although sexual sin is probably the most predominant of all, all deliberate and habitual sin against God and refusal to obey God is still preferring the desires of the flesh to God.
And one day we are all going to have to stand before God/Jesus Christ, and we will be judged according to our deeds. All those who made professions of faith in Jesus but who did not obey His commands, but who kept on in their sin, will hear from God that He never knew them, and that they are to depart from Him (see Matthew 7:21-23). Only those who have put their trust in the Lord, who have died with Him to sin, and who are obeying Him in life practice, will have the hope of eternal life with God. Take this seriously!

Tick tock, tick tock, time is a passing.
The time on the clock keeps ticking
While the church is fast a-sleeping.
Satan’s on a rampage
‘Cause his time is running out.
Will you worship God the Father,
God the Son and Holy Spirit?
Will you obey all of His
Commands for you today?
Jesus died to pay your ransom,
So that you could be forgiven.
Won’t you come to Him in truth
And penitently pray to Him?
Tick tock, tick tock, time is a wasting.
The cross of our Lord awaits you.
Won’t you come and share His table,
Drink the cup and eat the bread
In memory of Him?
Take a heart examination,
And accept our God’s salvation.
Humbly bow in adoration
And proclaim His name.
He wants for you to believe in
Him who interceded for you
When He died for your sins
And He rose from death in victory.
Tick tock, tick tock, time’s end is nearing.
How He longs to take and keep you,
In His arms He wants to hold you,
If you will but come to Him
And call on Him today.
His desire is that you please Him
In all of your life’s ambitions;
Be a living sacrifice
And be transformed today.
Let Christ’s love and grace sustain you,
And His promises prepare you
For His soon return to earth
To gather all His saints to Him.

This song is about the passing of time, how the church is asleep, and how Satan is on a rampage because his time is running out. It is also a call for the church to wake up, to repent, and to get on fire for the Lord Jesus before time does run out. "When he opened the seventh seal, there was...
