Remember who sent you...
''...EVEN THE DEMONS SUBMIT TO US IN YOUR NAME'.' LUKE 10:17
The two brothers were at it again, pillows, fists and swear words were flying around the bedroom. Most the time they got on but when they did start fighting nothing was going to stop them- well almost nothing!
After 5 minutes, a smashed bedside lamp and the kind of crushing leap from the bunk bed that any WWE wrestler would be proud of, the boys heard a knock on the bedroom door. They recognised the knock and ignored it.
Moments later, silhouetted against the light from the landing, stood the boy's little sister in the now open doorway. 'Stop fighting!' her small voice squeaked. 'yeah, whatever! dog breath' one brother cruelly responded. 'Stop fighting now!' the sister paused as a badly aimed pillow missed her head, 'Dad sent me!' Suddenly there was silence. The fighting stopped and the sister ran down the stairs smiling to herself.
The sister could be bold and brave because even though she was smaller and weaker, she knew who had sent her. The only reason the boys listened to their little sister was because she had be sent upstairs by their dad; they knew if they didn't listen to HIM there would be trouble.
Read Luke 10 and see the amazing things that happened when Jesus sent 72 of his disciples. People were healed, powerful things happened even the demons submitted to them - why because they were sent by Jesus. Jesus has sent us to share the Gospel in words and actions.
Sometimes this can be scary, but remember who sent you. Amazing things can happen not because you are strong and powerful but because Jesus is. Go for it!
