'HE GIVES US VICTORY.' 1 CORINTHIANS 15:57
God made you a winner! It's a fact. When you were conceived you won! Another word for winning is victory! Victory means, 'Success attained over a difficult situation or opponent. God has made you with one outcome in mind for your life and that is VICTORY! Why is this important to grasp? The devil wants you to think you're a loser, he wants you to walk around with a black cloud of failure over your head; so when you have challenges in life, you feel so rubbish about yourself you don't try to overcome them.
He's scared of God's kids knowing who they really are because he knows that when they do, he won't have a leg to stand on. Listen: 'But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ' (1 Corinthians 15:57 NLT).
When you decided to follow Jesus, you became part of God's family. When you're in a family you have particular rights, you can help yourself to some grub and a drink without having to ask. It's kind of like that in God's family, except that instead of some food, you have access to His victory and instead of a drink, you can use the family Name that is above all other names (Philippians 2:9-11). You need to expect victory!
Train your mind to think thoughts of success and encouragement; you'll be amazed at the results. When the devil gets up in your face and tries to intimidate you, you won't think, 'I can't do this I'm rubbish', you'll think, 'I'm a winner and I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.'
