Too close to the line

One of the biggest things to deal with as a teenager is the issue of sex. It's everywhere you look. In advertising it's used to sell just about everything, it's on the TV, in magazines, on the radio and just about everywhere you can think of.
Sometimes it can feel like you're the only person in the world not doing it and that pressure can be massive! Sex is a great thing that God made for people to enjoy but what's OK and what's not?
How should a young person cope with the constant temptation? Well, temptation is hard to resist, especially when it's backed up by a rush of hormones. So watch out! Once you've crossed that line just a little, chances are next time you'll push it even further (many people disagree on where the 'line' is by the way). So how do you stop from crossing the line? Don't go near it until the time is right (ie. when you're married!).
If you're not sure if it's OK or not, just don't go there. The truth of the matter is that God has given a set of guidelines to stop you getting hurt so claiming ignorance ('I didn't know whether that was allowed') is totally missing the point! Don't try to con yourself into thinking you haven't sinned due to a technicality; God knows your heart.
Playing 'Let's see how close to the line we can go' isn't clever and it's not God's plan for you. So how far is too far? The answer is simple; just stay well away from the line. That may not be much fun now but one day you'll be glad you waited.
