Protect your foundation
'BE ON YOUR GUARD!' ACTS 20:31
Years ago in California there were some enormous mud slides. Beautiful houses ended up being trashed as the earth literally slid out from under them. You see, when the foundation crumbles, even the most expensive houses will fall. Thank God that the foundation we have in Him can't be shaken...or can it? These days there's no shortage of Christian teaching; just turn on the TV or go online and it's there waiting for you.
However, when you take a proper look you can see there's a teaspoon of truth in an ocean of error. Sadly some people hungry for a slice of fame can think of a new idea then find a Bible verse to back it up but that's not what the Bible's there for. If you steal a few random words from here and there you can make the Bible say anything you want to say!
In the Bible a group called the Bereans used their heads when it came to this. 'They received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true' (Acts 17:11 NIV). Even the great leader Paul's words were checked against what scripture actually said, so no one is above this, including the Word 4U 2Day! Anytime someone claims a revelation that doesn't line up with the Bible run the opposite direction.
That may sound harsh but so is surgery and it'll save your life! So, always ask God to help you. Remember, Paul warned: 'men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard!' (Acts 20:30-31 NIV).
