God's presence
'LIKE A TREES ALONG A RIVER BANK BEARING FRUIT EVERY SEASON.' PSALM 1:3
You might have noticed that quite a lot of worship songs talk about God's presence. It means that God makes His reality really obvious in a particular place at a specific moment and, get this, that place can be your life!
When God's presence shines through you other people are drawn in. So how do you get God's presence in your life?
Well you can think of it like a biology lesson: the secret is in getting the roots of your life planted in God's soil. If you plant a seed in soil that has no nutrients and is really dry, the seed won't grow but if you plant a seed in good soil and water it regularly that seed will grow into the amazing plant God intended it to be.
You're like that seed. If you spend time in God's Word, the Bible, which is jammed with 'God nutrients', then God's reality will begin to be transferred into you like a plant getting healthy from good soil. This will have a massive effect on how you live your life and the choices you make from day to day.
Because you've packed yourself with 'God nutrients', when you have a tough day you will have His presence inside you to get through it and finish that day a winner! The more you allow His goodness to influence your life, the more your life will point others to Him. You're like a big billboard and people look at you. You can either be advertising Jesus or something not so cool.
If you put your roots down in Him your life will show who Jesus really is. His goodness, His love and loads more!
