Life is a battle. Whether it's a battle with health, your friends, your enemies, your church leaders, your neighbours, your work mates, unemployment, money, peer pressure, parents, bullies, relationships with the opposite sex, depression or countless other things, life usually feels like it's 'one thing after another.
When you're in the middle of a battle, God has a strategy for you. Even if it's a battle you should never have got into (sinful habits or things that all your mates do) then God has a strategy to get you out.
When you pray and ask God to help you in the battle, ask Him for a strategy to win the battle! God knows what you can handle, He knows the pressures you're under and He knows exactly how you're wired. God has a master plan for everything, even when the battle or mess you're in is your fault!
One of the amazing things about God is His ability to turn even the worst possible situation around for His glory; but you can only do that by following God's strategy! Remember though, you may have already heard God's strategy but you're looking for another because you don't like it or you want something easier. A God-given way out is not always pain-free.
Sometimes it means owning up to things, admitting problems, confronting situations or, heaven forbid, actually apologising! Coming through these situations is what helps us to grow up, mature and learn big lessons in life. You can't avoid them forever. So today think about your battles; maybe it's time to put into action that winning strategy you've been putting off for so long?
