The Whole Word of God

All Scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV

The Great twentieth-century pastor and author A. W. Tozer once observed, “The Word of God well understood and religiously obeyed is the shortest route to spiritual perfection. And we must not select a few favorite passages to the exclusion of others. Nothing less than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian.”

That’s some well-stated truth, isn’t it? And it’s also a great reflection of what today’s scripture verses teach about the Bible’s importance and trustworthiness.

The Bible contains everything you need to know about God and about His will for your life—everything. Taking that a step further, today’s passage tells that all scripture—meaning the whole Bible—is useful to the man of God who wants to be prepared to do what God has called him to do.

What do you need God to do for you today? You can turn to His written Word to find out what steps you need to take to make sure He does it for you.

Prayer: Father, thank You for speaking through the people who wrote the scriptures. Thank You for using them to help me know You better—and to provide me all I need to be equipped to live a life that pleases You.

Amen. A great and profound truth. God.... GOD!! The creator of everything, including us. God Himself... has written down for us His plan, His character, His commands, and His purpose for us.
What would you do if a great booming voice woke you up in the middle of the night, and you saw a glowing presence hovering over your bed. I bet that would get your attention.
And yet, how quickly some of us dismiss what God says. We gloss over the Bible like it's some advertisement for pet food.
The Bible... the very "Word" of God! You want to know God? Read His book! You want to know His character and plans? Read His book!

Good Evening...

There are several reasons why I love the word of God

• It's living and active....For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
• It never returns void....So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me empty [does not return void], Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
• It's always creates....By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their lights. (Psalms 33:6)
• It empowers.... Every Scripture has been written by the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

There could be more reason but just to say... I love the word of God. Thank you for the post.
