As water & metal are conductor's to electricity, so is this body of flesh to sin. From the fall of man(Gen 3) to current day, satan & the world have used this conductor to torment & condemn all men. But most of the time it is man that fall's to his own selfish want's & desires. Here we'll look at two(2) ways the Bible show's us to defend against this ever present foe. (1) Flesh Sins;(A) Look at 2 Timothy 2:14-26;v14 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words;*Here pride is playing a partner to the flesh, in most part the "TONGUE", a waring of words is what the writer is trying to bring to our attention; these are in basic "small matters". V16;"Shun,here the writer is giving us a defensive technique. literally "STAND ABOVE,SEPERATE FROM". V22 is our key here, Now Flee(NASB), Flee Also(KJV). We are to "FLEE" from these things. To separate ourselves from them. No loitering would be a good sign here for christian's.(2) you should read GEN chapter 39, this would give better context of the example I'll be using. But I believe you'll understand. Let's look at Gen 39:11-12; He's alone in the house, not exactly, it says "that there was none of the men of the house there within;* As I said reading this chapter should be done, because in prier verses the "WIFE", had made attempts at Joseph, vvs7-8; v12; She catches him, but what dose Joseph do? He "FLED"(KJ & NASB). Again we see for our example to "FLEE", run hard as for your life for that is what it mite cost you, is your life. (3) GAL 2:17-21;Now your really going to need to get out your Bible, I've got some verse for you. Let's start with the text verse; I have been CRUCIFIED with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me; and that the life which I live in the flesh I live in faith (you can read on and should, it is a very beautiful verse (NASB). Okay verses: CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST;GAL 5:24"crucified the flesh with the affections and lust ;6:14 crucified unto me, and I unto the world ;RO 6:6 that our old man is crucified. That's it we have to put to death the desires and lust that are in the flesh. We have to flee from temptation. Now we can sum it up and the hope is that you'll have gained the edge through Bible examples of how to fight and be victorious against the flesh. Again to flee from evil and to crucify the flesh daily. I want to leave you with a verse that really open my heart to Gods loving kindness and His tender mercy. 1 corinthians 10:13; No temptation has over-taken you but such as is common to man;and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. (NASB). Now that's the God I serve, ever present, you got to love that. Thank you for your time and I hope that you enjoyed it and learned something. May God the Father bless you for Jesus sake, Amen. Yort (Troy)
