James 3:8-10 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Psalm19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight O Lord, my Strength and my Redeemer

The Tongue...such a small part of the body yet at the same time such a powerful part. It has the power to build up, encourage, spread love and the word of God and yet it also has the power to cut, hurt, tear down and destroy. How many times have used our mouths to Praise God and yet out of the same mouth comes angry words against one another...words that we later regret and wish we could take back.

Words whether in thought or spoken out loud can do so much. The impact of them is great...We all want our words to be pleasing to God to be sweet music to His ears but what about those around us...are we really understanding that what we say to them God also hears and just as we want our Praises for and to Him to be that sweet music to Him so it is with our words to others...We should want them to be that same sweet music to Jesus as the Praises we raise to Him. Being Believers we are to be slow to speak because if we speak in haste it could end up being doing more damage than good.

To be able to control our tongues and use them for what God has intended them for we need to turn to the wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ because my friends we alone cannot control our tongues, but if we come before Jesus asking Him for wisdom and help in controlling what we say and that He would let us use our tongues for righteousness and for His good it is then we find we can control what we use our tongue for and what we say to others. For out of our mouths comes the intentions of our hearts. So, today let us come before God asking Him not only for His wisdom, but asking Him to help us control our our thoughts as well as tongues and be aware of what we say can effect people around us.

Lets have Praises to God and uplifting up of our brothers and sisters in Lord on our tongues at all times. Let us use our tongues and words for good in Jesus not to hurt or tear down one another.

God bless and keep you all the days of your life...may His mercy, peace, love and joy fill and surround you always.
