The timing of the Lord

Ecc 3:1 EVERYTHING ON EARTH HAS ITS OWN TIME and its own season.
Ecc 3:2 THERE IS A TIME FOR birth and death, PLANTING AND REAPING,

Anyone who knows the Lord, knows that “TIMING” means everything when it comes to ministry work.“When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his son, born of a woman.....” (Gal 4:4)

Everything God does is according to his time table, not ours. Walking, and moving in the Spirit is just like an orchestra being directed by the Lord. When the timing is wrong there is “discord, disharmony” with the rest of the musicians who are all in time with its conductor.

Just because the Bible says to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”(Mark 16:15) does not mean to just pick up and go whenever we decide to go!

We think the Lord would never stop us from going out to spread the Word, would he?
Absolutely yes he does. Even Jesus never went out to do his father will without being directed by his father when to go!

We make our own plans, and expect the Lord to bless us when we go, even when the work we plan on doing seems righteous, and according to what other disciples have done in the past. The body of Christ must move, and flow according to its head which is Christ, or we wind up stumbling over our other foot. God blesses everything he himself initiates!

Jesus never did anything outside of what his father showed him first, and then he moved.

John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING OF HIMSELF, BUT WHAT HE SEETH THE FATHER DO: FOR WHAT THINGS SOEVER HE DOETH, THESE ALSO DOETH THE SON LIKEWISE.
John 5:20 For THE FATHER LOVETH THE SON AND SHEWETH HIM ALL THINGS THAT HIMSELF DOETH: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

The Word of God tells us never to make plans on our own, and expect it will profit because we do not know what tomorrow will bring. All such speaking is evil!

James 4:13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
James 4:14 Whereas YE KNOW NOT WHAT SHALL BE ON THE MORROW. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
James 4:15 For that YE OUGHT TO SAY, IF THE LORD WILL, WE SHALL LIVE, AND DO THIS, OR THAT.
James 4:16 But now ye rejoice IN YOUR BOASTINGS: ALL SUCH REJOICING IS EVIL.

The Apostle Paul decided to go into the region of Phrygia and Galatia to preach the Gospel, but was forbidden by the Holy Spirit to go there.

Act 16:6 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been FORBIDDEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO SPEAK THE WORD IN ASIA.
Act 16:7 And when they had come up to Mysia, THEY ATTEMPTED TO GO INTO BITHYNIA, BUT THE SPIRIT OF JESUS DID NOT ALLOW THEM.

Then after being stopped by the Holy Spirit to preach the Gospel in Asia, he decided to go to Bithynia, and then once again was stopped not to go there either! Paul could have gone anyway disregarding what the Spirit of God witnessed to him, but he knew if you do what God says NOT to do, you will find yourself in big trouble, and things will not go well.

Finally, the Lord showed Paul in a “vision” where he wanted Paul to go.

Act 16:8 So, passing by Mysia, they went down to Troas.
Act 16:9 And A VISION APPEARED TO PAUL IN THE NIGHT: A MAN OF MACEDONIA WAS STANDING THERE, URGING HIM AND SAYING, “COME OVER TO MACEDONIA AND HELP US.”

Being led by the Holy Spirit, will always include God's timing of when and were we are to go. Anything other that that will be just guessing, and doing our own thing.
