The Path Of Life
A Young man is walking in a dark forest. He can barely see anything from the darkness. And though he doesn't want to admit it, he's scared because of all the noises of the dark forest.
It's the first time he walks this path. Autumn leaves crunch under his feet and he gets more and more scared by every step. His shoes are dripping wet and he doesn't feel himself comfortable in any way. He's awfully tired but he cannot stop.
Suddenly, he feels someone knocking on his shoulder. Slowly he turns, and sees a guy offering him a torch. He's a little scared of the strange man and the strange light, so he doesn't take it..
The path doesn't seem to have an end at all, and the forest gets darker and darker. Young man is also starting to feel a little cold.
For some weird reason he stops walking. He freezes. Slowly he's turning he's head like looking for something...or someone. He gasps. The forest is totally silent until a branch cracks somewhere. Young man is startled by that so badly, that he starts running. He runs and runs and runs, until notices that there's nowhere he can go. The scary forest won't end..
He turns around again, and sees the same guy he did earlier. With trembling hands, the young man asks for the torch. He gets it, and suddenly, all his fears are gone. Strange guy offers to walk with him. The young man is thrilled and accepts the offer. They walk side by side forever and after..
Sometimes our life...the path...can be really unpleasant, and scary. We have someone to offer us a torch to bring light in the dark path, but we won't take it. God is giving us a free gift...and though we turn Him down, He's always ready to give it if we want it. After we've been given the torch, we shouldn't have any fears, because we know, that Jesus will walk with us no matter what.. God is the light of our life. If we let him lead, we have nothing to worry about..
