[Matthew 22:1-2 KJV] 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Like other parables the theme of this parable is the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of heaven is the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth, in which, believing Israel will reign with Christ for a thousand years.

[Mat 22:3-4 KJV] 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and [my] fatlings [are] killed, and all things [are] ready: come unto the marriage.

Believing Israel saints will partake of the marriage supper of the Lamb..........[Rev 19:7-9 KJV] 7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

[Mat 22:6 KJV] 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated [them] spitefully, and slew [them].

This reflects Israel killing their prophets.........[Rom 11:3 KJV] 3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

[Mat 22:10 KJV] 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

I originally thought that this verse was speaking of the kingdom being populated by the wicked and the righteous, which would be separated at the coming of Christ, and the establishment of his kingdom.
I now think it talks of the bad and good as being about profitable and unprofitable believing servants.

[Mat 22:11-12 KJV] 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

For Israel to enter the kingdom, they had to be righteous and fruitful and profitable. This guest was unclothed to be in the kingdom.

[Mat 22:13 KJV] 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast [him] into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This servant was not able to enter the kingdom because he was an unprofitable servant believer. He was not cast into hell, but rather, was cast into outer darkness.

[Mat 22:14 KJV] 14 For many are called, but few [are] chosen.

All of Israel was called to enter the kingdom on earth, however only the few believing, faithful, and righteous would be chosen to enter the kingdom.
