Three things Jesus NEVER said ;
1/ You will be healthy
2/ You will be wealthy
3/ You will be succesful
Three things Jesus DID say:
1/ You will be hated
2/ You will have many troubles
3/ You will suffer

Three things Jesus DID say:
Jesus also stated the following would identify true worshippers -
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues;
18 and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Still later he appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for their stubborn unbelief because they refused to believe those who had seen him after he had been raised from the dead.*

15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. 17 These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.* 18 They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
19 When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 20 And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs.
Yes that was addressed to the 11 apostles at the time, the majority of which were killed, tortured or simply disappeared. It was not addressed to the believers.

It was not addressed to the believers?
Not sure where you get that idea as He said alot in private to the apostles that we who do believe know that it applies to us just as it applied to them 2,000 yrs ago.
Nothing has changed as far as the body of Christ is concerned. It's always been up to what Gods will as for the time period you live in as to what torture, discrimination,
signs, miracles and/or suffering you will go through, not to mention where you live within the world.

Pretty sure Paul wasn't in that room at the time, but he still partook of all things spoken of.

I know I have partook of many of those things but being in the U.S. it's been limited to being thrown out from among congregations, and seen as filth by the uppity in the community
who consider themselves elders of whatever denominational org, or just simply crazy.
Gotta keep in mind that it depends on when God is willing to sacrifice the sheep to test and try them.
He doesn't typically infill them then immediately throw them to the lions, though that can happen. Even the least in the kingdom is still in the kingdom.
Jesus' journey from infilling to crucifixion was 3 and 1/2 yrs.
Some disciples 60-70 yrs or more, and some very few.

It was not addressed to the believers.
There cannot be a standard or "mark" of the true Christian for some and not for others. That is cessationist falsehood.
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.

Acts 10:33 Forthwith therefore I sent unto thee; and THOU hast done well to come. Now therefore WE are all here present before God, to hear all things commanded thee of the Lord.
10:45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, who came with Peter, because that on the nations also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.
10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
10:47 Can anyone forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

Romans 15:17 I have therefore the glorying in Christ Jesus in the things pertaining unto *God.
18 For I dare not speak aught save the things which Christ wrought through me, for obedience of the nations, by word or deed,
19 in power of signs and wonders, in power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and round about even unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of the Christ;

Hebrews 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard,
4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

The word “preach” in the English language has been so badly abused with so much misconceptions.
To proclaim, herald, preach. Of uncertain affinity; to herald, especially divine truth.”

And, what, pray tell, is this 'gospel'....

Here is another lie that Christians choose to believe... When Jesus spoke of those who choose to believe a lie, I think He was speaking mostly to Christians. What do you think?

Three things Jesus NEVER said ;1/ You will be healthy 3 John 1:2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth
Proverbs 4:20-2220

My son, pay attention to what I am saying;
incline your ear to my words.
21 Don’t let them out of your sight,
keep them deep in your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to their whole being

Exodus 23:25

25 “You are to serve Adonai your God; and he will bless your food and water. I will take sickness away from among you.

1 Peter 2:24

24 He himself bore our sins[a] in his body on the stake,[b] so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness — by his wounds you were healed.[c]

Healed = to cure, heal

to make whole

to free from errors and sins, to bring about (one's) salvation

Jeremiah 33:6

However, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them peace and truth in plenty.

Proverbs 3:8

This will bring health to your body and give strength to your bones.

James 5:15

The prayer offered with trust will heal the one who is ill — the Lord will restore his health; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

3 John 1:2

Dear friend, I am praying that everything prosper with you and that you be in good health, as I know you are prospering spiritually.

2/ You will be wealthy
Deuteronomy 8:18

No, you are to remember Adonai your God, because it is he who is giving you the power to get wealth, in order to confirm his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as is happening even today.

Psalm 49:17

Don’t be afraid when someone gets rich, when the wealth of his family grows.

Joshua 1:8

Yes, keep this book of the Torah on your lips, and meditate on it day and night, so that you will take care to act according to everything written in it. Then your undertakings will prosper

Psalm 25:12-14

12 Who is the person who fears Adonai?
He will teach him the way to choose.
13 He will remain prosperous,
and his descendants will inherit the land.
14 Adonai relates intimately with those who fear him;
he makes them know his covenant.

1 Chronicles 22:13

Then you will succeed, if you take care to obey the laws and rulings that Adonai ordered Moshe concerning Isra’el. Be strong, be bold; don’t be afraid or become discouraged!

Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all things through him who gives me power

Psalm 1:1-3 KJV
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

3/ You will be succesful

Joshua 1:8

Yes, keep this book of the Torah on your lips, and meditate on it day and night, so that you will take care to act according to everything written in it. Then your undertakings will prosper, and you will succeed.

Three things Jesus DID say:1/ You will be hated
2/ You will have many troubles
3/ You will suffer

This last part of the post is ...Jesus did say these things too....But why will we be hated, What troubles? and Why will we suffer....

Now how much have you been hated? How much have YOU suffered? and why?

So according to you, sir...The world is to see a bunch of sickly unhealthy Christians stumbling around laying hands on sick non believers, seeing them healed, and remaining sick themselves....Yup...Makes sense :rolleyes:
