Nothing to do with "the catholic ways. What was written in scripture happened before the "catholic ways". However, the catholic ways follow the scripture. You’re conforming to the Catholic-type arguments whether you like it or not. Retaining food laws, sabbaths, and ordinances is the same error that Rome did, hanging on to shadows and man-made traditions rather than the finished work of Christ. Scripture declares that Jesus “abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances” (Eph. 2: 15) and those things were nailed to His cross (Col. 2:14). God Himself refers to them as shadows but Christ is the substance (Col. 2:16–17).
I don’t take what you said as truth, because truth doesn’t come from your opinion or Brother Tan’s interpretation. Truth comes from the Word of God. The Word of God is very clear, those ordinances were a temporary measure, were fulfilled in Christ and to bring believers back under them is unbiblical.
Show me where the catholic way is against scripture, and i will show you the scripture that confirms my faith.
