Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. Revelation 19:11 NKJV
God is many things. He is love. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He is faithful, merciful, and kind. He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And God is a warrior.
Exodus 15:3 says, “The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name.”
Though people like to think about how loving and forgiving God is, He is still a just God who will pour out His wrath on His enemies. Uncomfortable as it may be to think of God in this way, Christians should find it a comforting thought. Would it be right to worship a God who didn’t care about justice for victims? Would God still be loving if He didn’t protect His people?
No matter what battle you face today, God is the ultimate warrior and He wants to protect His people. Don’t worry about the outcome of your fight. God has it under control. So stand back and allow Him to fight for you.
Prayer: Lord, my fight isn’t mine. I belong to You and You will take care of it. You are the Ultimate Warrior.
