I agree with you on this JAS, but as I'm sure you know that servanthood is learned through obedience and obedience through suffering. It takes more than hearing someone on TV talk about it and then just confessing it in order for it to be a reality. Servanthood requires more, much more than confession. Servanthood and self are not good friends and do not work well with each other which is why servanthood is not a part of the WOF (carnal) teachings. :wink:

I can only witness to the things I've seen and heard. Many men in my past have been witness to me when it comes to humility and servitude. I have seen them as worldly men in my childhood turned into great men for God yet humble servants to those about them. I liked their role-model.

I looked in the scriptures and found none of the disciples were high minded and haughty about their status in the kingdom; they chose the path of servitude as Jesus had instructed them. I liked their role-model too.

Jesus was the greatest servant of all; Isn't it our goal to "be more like Jesus" each day? I liked His role-model the most.

Being a servant is not a decision made emotionally because some TV preacher makes you want to be one. Being a servant is not religious zeal or blind adherence to church doctrine. Being a servant is a decision one makes in his/her heart to be of value to the Lord of their life.

I'd rather not be at the judgement seat of Christ with my only claim being that I'm the son of a King. Instead, I'd like to be humbled by the one or two (or maybe multitudes) who witness to what I did here. My only desire is to hear these words spoken to me by Him: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
