Hi everyone, I received this message from the Lord while I was doing reading the Joel 2. The specific verse is Joel 2:23

Joel 2:23) Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

There shall be a latter rain of my Glory that shall pour forth upon my people. My people shall be strong and do exploits, all those that will yield themselves to me shall be covered with a strong anointing that is from me and they shall hear my voice saying “this is the way , walk ye in it.” Truly this is a season of great change, of great reformation for all those that will give themselves to me fully. Listen to my voice and do not deviate from my words. Hearken unto me and do not follow the ways of the world, the corruption of this world; for certainly my judgment shall come upon it with great speed and all those that refuse to repent, refuse to keep their garments clean, their raiment white, shall be devoured, consumed, and eaten up by my judgment. I the Lord of host am a great judge. Shall I not recompense evil and pour my judgment forth for the iniquity? Shall I not judge the people?

Thus saith the Lord, let this be a season where you have you eyes focused on me, having listening ears, and a heart prepared to serve me, a mind willing to work, a heart of obedience. The Lord of Host is merciful and shall deliver his people in the days of trouble that are about to come upon the earth. Let the Lord reign in your hearts and let your hearts be pure before me. Let all double mindedness cease and let the whole heart turn to the Lord who is abundant in mercy and whose promises are sure, whose word is steadfast and enduring.

The trumpet has gone forth in sounding, the day of the Lord is at hand. Let my people take heart, knowing that their God, the Lord of Host , is not like the idols of the earth which cannot hear, which cannot see, and which cannot save; but can hear the cries and prayers of his people, can see the good and the evil in all places, even to the corners of the earth, and is a mighty deliverer to those that trust in him.

It would be interesting to know the circumstances surrounding your receipt of this message. I've read several of your other posts and found you have a strong desire to "hear" from God. Could this desire have prompted the message you related to us?

Pardon my question and I mean no disrespect, but the passages in Joel you quoted have little to do with the message you typed. Is there a reason for this?

I only ask these questions from experience. My wife once had a dream/vision of our son being driven by in a hearse (he was dead at age 4). She said it was the most real thing she had ever seen and it was in broad daylight and she was fully awake. She was sure it was a message from God that our son would die. She was very upset.

I took that dream to a godly man in our church. He told me that many such dreams, visions, and messages are nothing more than counterfeits initiated by the evil one. Satan is the lord of lies and as such attempts to make Christians stumble in any way he can. If your prayer was to "hear" God or be able to discern His voice, what better way to do it than as he has done with you.

Your message is full of truths (as are most of Satan's lies) but some things are not true; such as the trumpet being sounded and the Day of the Lord being at hand. Since those statements are in your message, I would suspect the message you received is not what you think it to be. Sorry to rain on your parade but I believe you must know what you are dealing with.

Disclaimer: If your message is indeed from God, we shall all soon know it. In that case, you were right and I am a blind man. If I am correct, nothing will change the will of God anyway, but you may have grown in this new-found knowledge.

BTW, my son is now 31 and lives a full life. God is good!

Advice to be cautious may be in order but this message lines up with the Word. Take it and run with it.

Hmmm... Such a word!!! Copper I appreciate your faith and I encourage you to seek the Lord more, I believe He has more in stocks for you to bring forth and I also believe that, after you received a word from the Lord, don't stop at that but seek Him to know the timing, when and where to share such prophecy. I believed It's a level of growth for you and as you keep on seeking the Lord, your bringing forth will become pure. No one start or begin Perfectly or purely, we are all learning. Even though some may say otherwise concerning what you heard or saw but Your faith shouldn't be in the Prophecy but in the Lord.
And for me, I believed in what you have brought forth to us. I overlook the mixtures in it and ask that the Lord will grant way and how you can minister to Him on daily basis. Amen

For everyone that read this, may they yield to the Lord and seek Him instead of rationalizing things.

Well, if may ask do you believe in dreams, vision and prophecy? If yes then, I believe there is always a way to correct in love. You don't just judge prophecy by good or bad but by the word. And it is to the extent of the revelation of the Word you know/have, to that extent you will be able to comprehend and judge Prophecy. When I said word, I'm not only referring to the Bible as letter but the Holy-Spirit opening your eye to see beyond letter and see Christ.That is Revelation!. Even though this person might have spoken somewhere that he still trying to hear the Lord doesn't negate that the Lord can not come and speaks to him while reading the scripture and gave him a word of Prophecy. A prophecy containing a mixture doesn't imply that it is not from the Lord. We must learn to discern and take that which is of the Lord from what our brethren bring forth and leave out the one we think or perceived are not from Him.
We must also learn to correct in love and not by condemning the word along with speaker. Doing so proves our childishness and lack of spiritual maturity.

The Lord grant us wisdom and understanding of His way so that we may see with eye of the Spirit that truly There is a voice of Trumpet sounding and the Spirit is saying HE THAT HATH EAR LET HIM HEAR.

In this writers case, the mere fact he claims the trumpet is blowing and the day of the Lord is at hand are false statements. While we are certainly near those events, to say they are now happening is patently false.

These kind of writings have led many people astray over the years (for example the writings of Joseph Smith) and are a sure way for otherwise good Christians to be duped into something they don't want to be involved with.

As I recently posted a comment on another thread similar to this one, I will cite my scriptural reference to this answer now. As an added comment, my earlier post revealed I do believe in dreams and visions as promised in Joel 2 and Acts 2, I just prefer to test them before I blindly agree with or follow them. False Oracles and False Prophets

[d] I will forsake you, declares the LORD.' 34 If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' I will punish that man and his household. 35 This is what each of you keeps on saying to his friend or relative: 'What is the LORD's answer?' or 'What has the LORD spoken?' 36 But you must not mention 'the oracle of the LORD ' again, because every man's own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God. 37 This is what you keep saying to a prophet: 'What is the LORD's answer to you?' or 'What has the LORD spoken?' 38 Although you claim, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' this is what the LORD says: You used the words, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' even though I told you that you must not claim, 'This is the oracle of the LORD.' 39 Therefore, I will surely forget you and cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you and your fathers. 40 I will bring upon you everlasting disgrace—everlasting shame that will not be forgotten."


Those are the Lord's words; I make no attempt to apologize for them. If I have offended, I sincerely regret that and ask humbly for your forgiveness. Scripture can cut like a knife and can heal better than any physician. I pray you gain understanding with this message.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think this one rises to the level those did, but taking them on face value without benefit of checking them against the scripture is surely dangerous.

Jesus directly compares it to the end of the world. If Pentecost be the first rain, then shall not God bring a latter rain before the end time harvest

The major earth quakes
The end is fast approaching

I'm glad for your understanding and taking time to reconsidered what has been posted.

I also believed your point of proving all things and holding on to that which is God's will (not good, for sometimes, things could be good and may not be God's will).

But in all things, we must learn one thing that: There are time we heard things, they may seems to contradict our belief or the level of our understanding. The first thing to do is not quickly ignore or speaks against it but, we should endeavor to seek the Lord for His mind on such things.

For these were the problems of Pharisees with Christ, instead of them to seek for wisdom and understanding as regard what Christ was saying they concluded and gave Him names.

I wish I could explain what I mean properly by using my own life experience as regard in bringing forth (Prophecy). But this forum may not be for that.

One more thing, I felt I should confirmed what this brother brought forth. "We had a WAITING meeting this morning, and a sister in the body quoted this same book of Joel, speaking of time of Sounding the Trumpet" Although she hasn't read what was posted here neither does she knows anything about searching or surfing website, but for me, this show that God was confirming His word.
What is the Lesson? The lesson is that, when we heard a prophecy or speaking, the first thing we need to do is to seek for understanding from the Lord; we must at no cost judge the prophecy until we've seek the Lord and He has told us otherwise.

If not, May we not kill a young Samuel or David who is just rising up to become what God intended him to be. For many has been killed through this means.

May the Lord help us and grant wisdom and understanding to us; so that we may understand His dealing with us.

"For out of the mouth of babes and suckling Thou hast perfected praise so as to put Your enemy in derision"

When I received the clarification I asked for, from Daniel, things became clear, he resolved my questions and I praised him for his courage and conviction. It was never an issue of reconsidering, just one of having all the information. After a 20 year career in law enforcement, I try not to make snap judgments in most situations. Doing that has saved my bacon numerous times.

Its not pride to say what God says about me. Its the truth. Learn to recognize the difference. Don't let a religious spirit blind you to who you really are. To say you are less than God says you are is not humility, its simply a lie. Its also saying that God is a liar.
Learn what real humility is. Learn who you are in Him. Learn to confess Gods Word in your life as to who you are, instead of a false, religious, fake humility.

Yeah, I do. It's often the lone runners that are only in it for themselves not giving a care for anybody else. When you are alone, you learn to rely on yourself, stand on your own two feet, to be proud of what you've done. I'd ask you to look at these scriptures:

James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

1 Peter 5:5-6 Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Matthew 23:12 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Col 3:12-14 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.



Mark 9:35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

Mark 10:43-44 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.

2 Tim 2:24-26 And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

I agree with you on this JAS, but as I'm sure you know that servanthood is learned through obedience and obedience through suffering. It takes more than hearing someone on TV talk about it and then just confessing it in order for it to be a reality. Servanthood requires more, much more than confession. Servanthood and self are not good friends and do not work well with each other which is why servanthood is not a part of the WOF (carnal) teachings. :wink:
