Dear everyone,
I would like to explain who Christ is through this illustration and how Christians are missing out on Him - the Head of the Church.
People, Christ is indeed the Way, the Truth and the Life and without Him you can do nothing. It is ONLY through Him, we can come to the Father.
I understand that many will contradict with me on this but I know that I belong to the Truth and I do no lie. I speak what I have been taught by the Lord.
Normally, only a tiny part of an iceberg can be seen from the surface of the water. Thousands of these massive glacial chunks lay just beneath. No wonder the titanic sank, because the captain didn't see what lay beneath!
Similiarly, we as Christians have only seen the "Jesus" ( the tiny part of the ice on top) on the surface of the water, while the "Christ", the massive part lay underneath.
The Word of God says in 2 Cor 5:16:
" Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer".
Some Christians have seen Christ beyond the surface of water and are walking in glories, the life without struggles.
While some have seen only Jesus, the fleshly part - they have not searched further and seen beyond the surface of water( the veil), and so they think that they are saved and that they don't have to do anything now.
Just like the captain of the Titanic!
He was wise in his own eyes to think that the Titanic will never sink and didn't consider the massive load of ice that lay beneath. The ship hit that thing and many perished.
Jesus said in John 8:24,
" Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that Iam He, you will die in your sins"
According to this illustration, Jesus is saying that " If you do not believe beyond the surface of the water ( the veil) who Iam, you will die in your sins, just like the people of Titanic who perished when they did not believe and acknowledge the huge iceberg beneath."
Are you getting this??!
You see Christ is not a surname of Jesus!
He is the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus is not a man. Jesus is the Word, the Christ who became flesh - He took the form of the flesh. The appearance of flesh!
the flesh part is called Jesus and Christ took His abode in this flesh... Jesus Christ! Ofcourse, the name Jesus was given after the child was born.
Romans 8:3b says ".... God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh"
Heb 10:5 says, "Therefore, when He came into the world, He said, " Sacrifice and offering You did not desire but a body You have prepared for Me"
So to take up the flesh part, Christ needed to be born in Mary's womb.
Why did He come in the flesh?
To condemn your sin in this flesh and to destroy the works of the devil ( 1 John 3:8)
To conclude this,
I would like to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord and you will find Him Jer 29:13
You are not saved until you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
Or else you will perish in your sins if you keep seeing only the flesh part of the Lord ( the tip of the iceberg) and never see beyond the surface of water
Just like the Titanic people did and perished in their pride.
Simple but it means everything...
