The High Life
A to b always searching for the faster way to make a name
Looking for short cuts to reach the high life that brings joy
So we think blinded by greed
Oh how many times we find out too late there are no short cuts
The only short cuts we make lead to heart aches and loneliness
As true joy can’t be bought just like eternal life
We want to have the inheritance in life now living the high life blinded
Dollar signs always in our eyes wanting going to fancy restaurants
Thinking we will be happy eating steak and lobster every night
The mirage goes away when getting bankrupted finally seeing the truth
Thinking we’re eating with rich when in reality our heads are in the trough
Eating with the pigs making ourselves sick on garbige
Wake up prodigal Sons and Daughters go back to the Father that loves
Its not too late theres no shame in being broken and brused in His name
He wants us to come back to Him don’t you see him running to meet you
Take the path given by Christ and will find eternal life which leads to joy
Forget about short cuts in life or riches that blinds us in eternal darkness
Christ will lead us to the big wedding feast in Heaven livning the high life
