the grey areas ...

The world has its own standards and many things seem alright but in the light of the Word of God, so many things are unacceptable. The 'grey areas' of the world are a NO NO before God. Recently, in my college, many students had to take an online test for a job. All of them took a friend to help them out except for two christians. The rationale behind this behaviour was, 'everybody is doing it'.

Can we as Christians go by this argument. I guess no because Jesus has called each one of us to be people who stand for the truth and people of integrity in God's standards. Can we show to the world that we hold different values?

The world is degrading, let us shine the light that GOd has given to us in our daily lives.

God and His Word are definitely black and white with no "grey areas"...man is the one who has mixed his interpretation(s) in...he wants to have the "best of both worlds", holding to the world and its' entanglements while trying to be acceptable to God. As Christians, we are instructed to "separate" ourselves from the world, to come out and let others know in whom we believe and have placed our faith.

Yes, the "everybody's doing it" mentality is very prevalent, but there are some things that Christians need to learn they cannot do and live pleasing to God. There is a quote that says, "the Word of God will keep you from sin, but sin will keep you from the Word". This is a very true statement. When receiving a daily cleansing in the Word, we will have no problem seeing what God says in "black and white" and we will hold to the "truths" in the Word of God.
