Genesis 12:2 - 'And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless
thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:'
*
I used to hate getting school report cards when I was younger! Although*I was a very smart kid, my conduct grades would be horrible and always*lead to a spanking! I would walk around before even coming home*because I knew once my parents saw my conduct grades, I would be in*trouble. So, report card days would be hard days for me. But you know,*it's funny how we sometimes get reports about how bad we have performed*from jobs or other organizations and then believe that we are what they*say we are, even though the "us" they see, is only a small part of who*we really are. But i was thinking last night how God's report of us*works. Remember the song, "Who's report will you believe?" well, that*song is nice, but sometimes we fail to really understand how God grades*us. We think that once we got saved and started acting better, we got*better grades from him. Or we feel that since we are Christians now,*we are finally getting good reports from God and we can begin to feel*better about who we are. Well, let me let you in on a little secret.*The report of God happened before you were born! God created you from*a report. The report is what he said about you in the beginning! You*are a report, his report! His report says who you are and who you will*become! It's fixed! Yes, you are predestined to be who you are going*to become and the report of the Lord has already spoken.
*
Abraham got the report of the Lord and yet, when he got to Egypt a few*scriptures later, he was afraid that they would kill him! But he*should have known that since Sarai and he had no child, he could not*die! If God gave him his report, then the situation was fixed and*done! There was no way he could die until he had a child! But he*believed the report of the people or the circumstance rather than the*report of the Lord. Of course he eventually began to believe God's*report because he had to. Why did he have to? Because God had already*predestined him to! God chose him and spoke his report in the*beginning, not after he saw his actions or his conduct! God does not*give us a report after we do what he says we will do. God gave us a*report before we ever began and once he did that, it was set in stone.*Nothing can change it cause God can't lie. We can't mess it up or stop*it because if we could do that, we would be more powerful than God and*God would be a liar. Well, God cannot lie because what he says happens*and becomes! So, his report about you is what you should seek. Not*what man says about you after you mess up, or not what the doctor says*about you after you get a checkup. Not what your circumstance says*about you while you are going through. God's report stands and is what*it says. The bible states that we perish for lack of knowledge.*People die because they have no report! Until you come to God and hear*what he said about you, you don't know! And if you don't know, then*you were never suppose to know. And if you were never suppose to know,*then there was never anything for you to know! God doesn't miss! He*doesn't speak and then wait to see if it will happen! When he speaks*it, it happens. Whatever God said about you in the beginning has to*occur and you can rest assure that it will come to pass! So, your*objective should not be to view your circumstances, your situations,*your mistakes, your shortcomings, your feelings or emotions, or your*bad decisions as things that will alter your report. But your objective*should be faith and confidence in what God said about you and how he*spoke your end in the beginning! Let God give you the real report*about you. Find your report in him and you will not die until his*report is fulfilled through you!
