Matthew 5:15 - "Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on

a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your

light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify

your Father which is in heaven."

“The power to become a true son of God and represent his image”
*
How can you know God and not walk with him? How can you be full of the power of God and not affect people on your job or in your family? You see, we are*so used to operating in the power of God in our church homes, that we forget*the gifts of the Spirit are not needed in the church! Why do we want to get*all spiritual, speak in tongues, cast out demons, heal the sick, and speak a*prophetic word to people in the church all the time? What about the people that do*not believe? The world is dying and we are at fault because we are locked up*in our churches passing the anointing around like a crack pipe, when the*world that needs our anointing is missing out! We dance and shout in*church service, but walk on pins and needles on our jobs because we don't*want to offend anyone!
*
We get all crazy and loud in church thanking God for*ourselves, but at work, we act just like the non believers and take a back*seat to their sinful lifestyles. Don't you know it's your job to bring your*employer and other workers to the knowledge of Jesus Christ? Not by trying*to act Holy, but by operating in the gifts that come with the power of God.*What would happen if you went to work anointed? Instead of trying to fit in,*act like the sinners, and sin with the sinners on your job, why don't you*speak into the lives of the sinners? Why don't you walk in the gift that God*has placed in you? Are you that scared? Are you ashamed of the gospel of*Jesus? Are you insecure in who you are? Anyone can get radical for Jesus*in the church building, but a true Christian is the church building!

The sad thing is Some Christians can't even walk in peace with their brothers and sisters in Christ let alone be "salt and light" to those around them. We bicker, call each other names and are rude and act often basically like the World does. Can Non-Believers tell we are Christ disciples?

{Not saying all Christians but you would have to be blind and deaf to not notice there is some ugly behaviour between Brothers & Sisters in Christ no matter where you go.}

JN 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
You talk about the Gifts of the Spirit but you forget to encourage people to grow the FRUIT of the Spirit.

GAL 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

AL 6:1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, 5 for each one should carry his own load.
There are some Christians who need to clean up their act but are not willing to submit themselves to the Spirit of God to be changed into the likeness of Christ, they may have good Head Knowledge but have they been changed inside in their hearts after they came to Christ?

MT 15:8 " `These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

MT 15:9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.' "

MT 15:10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. 11 What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him`unclean.' "

MT 15:12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"

MT 15:13 He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

MT 15:15 Peter said, "Explain the parable to us."

MT 15:16 "Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them. 17 "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man `unclean.' 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what make a man `unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him `unclean.' "
We need to have our hearts cleansed and made pure to have the fruits of the Spirit which will enable us to Witness and Testify by our LIVES Jesus Christ to those around us. Head knowledge is not enough and neither is having the ability to Speak in Tongues (impressive but what is the use if the same person carries on swearing and talking like a non-Christian as well?).

Not every Christian is like this. Not pointing fingers at any specific people. So pelase don't take offence. There are unfortunately some Christians who lack spiritual fruit and Jesus even pointed this out to us.

1TH 1:4 For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 7 And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
How we live our lives in front of others is important not
just having the Power of the Lord in the form of Gifts.

JAS 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25 But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it--he will be blessed in what he does.
Applying the Word of God to our lives and living it out before others is also a powerful testimony.
