2Th. 3:14 - 'And if anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter,
take special note of that man and do not associate with him, so that
he may be put to shame.'
*
Many times, friends don't offer spiritual words to each other when needed.*Why is that? If our friend is in trouble, we should help them. Don't let it*go as "the way he is" or "if that's what makes her happy" but as a believer,*it's our duty to pray for our friends and encourage them in the way of the*Lord. Don't laugh it off, or compromise the word of God for the sake of friendship.*But search the word out for them and give them some good biblical advice.
*
If you don't have the answers, lead them to someone spiritual that does,*but make sure you address the issue and not accept the issue. If they are*your true friends, then you should desire to save them from destruction. I*know we live in an error of "political correctness" and we often practice*silence in the midst of chaos, but as a believer, it's our duty to recognize*chaos and confusion as the enemy and stand up for order in the lives of*our peers. It's funny how the world has no problem practicing their beliefs*all up in our faces, but many times we as modern day believers take down*and hide our convictions and feelings so we don't "offend" them! Stand up*for what is right and keep your friends in line. Don't allow them to just act*any way around you or treat you any old way. If you practice righteousness*on a regular basis, that alone can cause conviction for that carnal Christian*friend you may have. But know when it's time to let go as well and if they*just won't get the picture, then maybe it's time to cut them loose and give*them to God. Remember, it's your obligation as a friend to point them*to Christ one way or another. Either by word, by deed, or by separation,*you must show them way.
