They sung as it were a new song.....Rev. 14: 3
It is the chorus of the pure ones. It is the Hallelujah Chorus. John loved music, and he tried to describe it. He remembered how on many a night on the Isle of Patmos the Aegean Sea had roared. John said this music was like the mighty waters of the sea. The Hallelujah Chorus. What were they singing?
Will you listen with your hearts? There are variations in the music; there are variations in the words. But the undertone of the main strain is this........Crown Him! Crown Him LOrd of all.
But who is this? Who is this one to be crowned? Will you hush your heart? Look yonder - a stable, the cattle, a young mother, the babe born as none other before or since, a Babe in a manger, in the new-mown hay, sharing a place with the stock...It is He
Look again. A little hamlet village on the hillside. A Carpenter in a shop, at a bench, with the odour of the pine shavings and the swawdust, with a bit of a garden at the back of the house. It is He!
Look again. The olive grove, and a man so human he longed for human fellowship. But he must go on alone; there could be no fellowship with him in what he was going to do on the morrow. He is on his knees; he is on his face; and already drops of blood are falling on the earth It is He!
On the morrow afer Gethsemane, he hangs on the cross, done to death of his own choosing.....for all men. It is He! It Joseph's tomb, buried in the earth.
Ah but lift your hearts........the tomb is empty.....It is He!
