[Leviticus 1:9 KJV] "But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, [to be] a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD." ********* Jesus was our sacrificial lamb. The sacrifice of the herd was a male just as Jesus. The sacrifice was without blemish just as Christ was without sin. It was a voluntary offer just as Christ laid down his own life. The offer was accepted as an atonement just as Christ is our atonement. The offer had to be washed with water just as Christ was water baptized by John.
