The best church service would be...

A whole town standing waist deep in water singing and praising God while waiting to be baptized in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ! Glory to God!

I`ll take jiggys ideal as my second choice
 
That's a hard one! Just sitting still in His presence that's what I think. One day I just wanted to be still. So as the group (at the church I attend) was practicing for the morning service, I just sat back and listened & meditated on HIM.

It was so wonderful - just praising Him within my heart and listening to His voice. The funny thing about it was during time as people came into the church - I felt like I was the only one there. The noise and the chatter sounded far away. It was just me and the Lord.

Oh How love Him - what more can I say. I would love to moments like that again.

The ideal church

Where Christ is present & actively working, without human hinderances & Christian families are actively focusing on & raidiating praises to Him through mouth, movement, instrument, or however He leads.
 
Ideal church service is one where
- JESUS CHRIST IS LIFTED HIGH... EXALTED ABOVE ALL ELSE
- HIS WORD IS MINISTERED ..... RIGHTLY AND CORRECTLY
- WORSHIPPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH
- THERE IS FREEDOM, EVEN WHEN IN COMPLETE DISCIPLINE TO THE WORD AND THE SPIRIT

You all worded your dreams nicely. I guess I'm left to say one thing off the top of my head.

My ideal service would be:

Where Jesus Christ is pleased and smiling at what He sees His church is doing.

Is a good thing to hear the Lord.Read the gospel of Acts chapter 13 verse 2 down.When you concentrate,allow your spirit to pay full attention to Him and fellowshopping in spirit and in truth.God will speak to you.Swonrose! The best church service I've been in did not look like a church service at all. The guy who lead the worship had a voice like liquid velvet. There were no announcements to break up the worship. No preachers in the pulpit. Each person who was lead spoke a verse or two, or a thought or two while the music was played quietly in the back ground. Most were quiet, or quietly ministering to one or two others. There was no looking at watches, no timeframe. No big movie projector or power points (which are beneficial, but for teaching workshops not worship services). It didn't matter at the time if the words to the song were known or could be seen by all. The spirit of the Lord was almost palpable. There were very few dry eyes at the end of that evening.

Have not had congregational worship like that since, but have had that experience many times at home one on one with the Lord.
