You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home, and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labor. You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to use. You allow them to produce food from the earth—Psalm 104:13-14 NLT
You can look at any beautiful spot in the world and enjoy scenes that amaze and astound. They inspire you. You’re not sure you want to leave. You take in the mountains, canyons, raging water, and serene meadows. In those moments, do you gravitate toward the thought that there must be an artistic Creator behind every backdrop?
Creation itself is a reason to think. Don’t stop at just appreciating what you see. Think about the God who created water and then held it in natural channels that will take it from the clouds to the ground, from the ground to creeks and rivers, and from there to the ocean and then back to the clouds.
Think about the care God has for people. He’s created a means to feed them and make sure they have something to drink. Think about the fact that He made these things for you. Think about the fact that none of this was a challenge for God.
Prayer: Thank You for every mountaintop, waterfall, and forest. Father, help me remember that these are Your gifts and point out one more way You have supplied what I could never provide for myself.
