I must Glorify the Lord for the great works He has been doing in my life and my family. Not too long ago I posted a testimony about how the Lord healed me. I have been healed of many things many times in my life and it is always an amazing experience. Now I have something even more amazing to share.
The Lord has delivered my daughter from addiction and mental illness!!!! She has been in constant fellowship with a couple of our Christian friends for the past couple of weeks. When she came home from the Rehab she was broken down in so many ways. She had learned a lot of things but she also experienced a lot of torment there. It was not a Christian Rehab and she was not allowed to read her Bible except for about 15 mins before bed. She was among a population of 95% involuntary patients. She was one of the 5% who went in voluntarily and could have left any time, but she didn't, she prayed constantly for God to help her.
When she completed the program at the Rehab she went to live at a sober house. It appeared to have a couple of Christians there when we went for her intake. However, once she started living there she quickly found out there were no Christians there. She would get up 5:30 every morning to take a bus to another city where there was a Christian NA meeting. She worked at night and she had a curfew, however it took her an hour to walk home from work and if she was one minute late she was written up. The head of the house was constantly threatening her and she finally had to leave and come home.
She was so broken from the negative experiences. She ended up relapsing and she actually overdosed and died. The Lord wouldn't let her go, it wasn't her time and He knew she would be delivered from her transgressions and she would have a great mission. She wanted to be close to the Lord again so she accepted the invitation from her friends to go and spend time with them in fellowship and prayer.
She had been completely delivered from addiction, all the thoughts, dreams and feelings that were still tormenting her are gone. She has been delivered from Bi-Polar, she no longer takes medication and she is always happy and glowing with the spirit of God. She is now ministering to people in prison, sending them testimony and scripture about our Lord. She is going to go to college and become a paralegal so she can work with people who have legal problems as a result of their addictions.
Writing this and reading this is really surreal. You see the Lord also delivered me from depression, anxiety, fear.... Living with an addict was so hard but I never lost faith, I never stopped praying, I never stopped believing and I give all glory to God for this. He increased my faith through my life's experiences and He continues to do so.
If there is anyone out there dealing with addiction and mental illness who wants fellowship with someone who has been through it all and delivered through it all by the power of God please do not hesitate to ask me. I want to pass it forward for the glory of God. " There is joy in serving the Lord. Jn. 15:11"
