The talkjesus.com icon (a pixelated white letter J) is invisible on white backgrounds because its foreground is only white.
I use firefox (windows and linux) and it uses a white background for the tab header. When the talkjesus.com tab is selected the icon disappears. Same thing with bookmarks and in the bitwarden firefox password manager extension. The bitwarden android app also uses a white background and the talkjesus.com icon 'J' is invisible there too.
The administrators "think this might be something on your end, not sure". Can anyone with access to firefox or anything that uses a white background confirm this invisible icon issue?
I'm not sure what it will look like after I post this but in firefox even the talkjesus.com forum preview shows the talkjesus favicon as invisible.
If I drag the invisible icon (which is just above the visible one) it becomes temporarily visible so it proves it's actually there. Can someone please confirm what they see and that it's not only on my end? Thanks!
My wife could provide a professionally tweaked icon for free if help is desired.
I tested downloading the talkjesus favicon with this favicon downloader.
Then uploading it to this favicon generator and the talkjesus favicon is indeed invisible in all formats and sizes.
White is a very popular background color (old folks like me remember paper) and the current talkjesus favicon having an only white foreground makes it invisible on white backgrounds. I'll shut up about this now unless asked to help.
The icon is visible now in the tab header, the password manager and the bookmarks. Thanks!!!
If it matters, in the firefox setting "Website appearance" I have "Automatic" which looks the same as "Light" on my Windows 11 PC. I tried firefox Linux and the tab header icon is now visible there too.
