Take A Breath
The first reaction when losing a life before its time
Oh I know is to lash back with anger getting even
But what if we would take a breath and forgive
Dealing with hurt and anger I know is a human emotion
But can also be our greatest witness to the love of God
Instead of picking up a stone reach out in love and forgive
Tears falling down while saying goodbye one last time
I know this wasn’t the way to see the life we loved end
But what if we would take a breath and look up to heaven
Look around and there's always one lost soul to be found
That one could be watching and seeing how do we handle
What was so dear to our hearts but now taken away
God is good, God is great when the rain of His blessings fall
We praise and worship Him so well in the stillness and calm
But how do we do when the storm crashes down around us
The first reaction is to take cover in the darkness and wait
Oh I know its human to take steps back instead of forward
But what if we would take a breath and step out into the light
Look around and there's always one lost soul to be watching
Take a breath of God instead of lashing out, reach out in love
Be a true witness let the hands of Christ reach out to save them
