I have rather sad news to report. My brother-in-law Rick, attempted suicide a few days ago. Fortunately he did not succeed and has been confined to a mental hospital for at least a week.
Please pray for my sister Kathy and her children Matt and Kathyrn as they are going through a very tough time over this attempted suicide by Rick. Please pray for Rick that he will come out of this severe depression, and be a dad and husband to his family. The severe depression started about 6 months ago.
So I covet your prayers and intercessions For Rick and family!!!!!

Lord, I pray right now that you would show yourself to Rick in that hospital room. Speak to him in dreams and visions that neither he nor the doctors can dismiss as hallucinations or any other mind trick. Comfort his wife and his children, Father, as they struggle with this issue. I pray also that You guide the staff at that hospital, letting them know what to do and when to do it and what to say and when to say it.
In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord, use this bad happening and illness in Jesus name for good, as you used the harm Joseph's brothers intended for evil upon him. Please bless Rick in every way, physically, spiritually, mentally, and financially. Bless him with much love upon him and in him and flowing from him. Let him know how very much he is loved by You and his family and friends. Make his healing be very clear to him. Speak clearly to him. May every effort he makes to be restored to life and family be clearly rewarded by You. Flood Rick with mercy and grace, Lord, and we ask all these things in your Holy name, Amen.

I am currently working with a "Nephew -in-law" to be, because attempted suicide recently. This all stems from an abusive childhood and depression over self worth and his bondage to that untruth.

No matter what the reason, it is a very sad thing indeed.

Father, I ask you to awaken Rick to your unconditional love and reassure him that, not only is life is worth living through your son Jesus Christ but, he will find peace, truth and freedom from his terrible bondage.
Amen

Hello dpg3

We are praying for you and the family at this time.

Jesus never fails, heaven and earth may pass away but Jesus never fails us. We are looking unto Him as we remember you in prayer.

Yes, this is something that outsiders don't understand, we are all in this together!...Thanks!

dpg3 other then our tongue,I think, one of the second hardest things to control is our mind! The five senses God gave us,can sometimes lead to to feel helpless, and because of that, worthless, not only to family and friends, but to ourselves as well! Through many mistakes in my own life,I have found renewing ones mind through the Bible, and chooseing, yes chooseing God's Word over what is in plain sight, and smell and feeling leads us to victory rather then defeat! A well to do couple I met the other day,the man was a computer Genius, and gave his heart and soul and mind to the Lord, his wife, dressed very well, as well, but always complained about everything! Nothings was ever good enough or right enough for her,a friend of mine asked the man about his wife, saying you seem very content? what does your wife do for a living? his replay," OH my wife is a manufacturer!! OH!! said my friend what does she make? She makes other people unhappy, that is what she always manufactures! She does this, because she chooses to do this.MY MY!! Something for us to think about, with so many in such turmoil perhaps it is right to be thankful for what we do have!! Rather then spreading unhappyness to others, because of what we want.So for me,I am learning how to correct my mind as well,I am looking at how I can help another, encourge them, give them a rope, rather then yelling down to them I will pray for them. My rope I give to you, to give to your friend is this. Do one simple task, just one!! LOVE others as you would have them love you! rom 13:10 Love fulfills the entire law!! and that is not all love does!! it covers a mulitude of sin!! 1 Peter 4:8 When we take our mind off self, and put it on others, because we need this ourselves,we find our mind, becomes healed,by not only the Word of God,but by our own actions concerning the Word. Remember james 1:22?? Be ye what?? amen doers of the Word and not hearers only decieving our own selves!! the reason for this is explained in verse 23-27 If the man should ask but what is love anyway?? Please show him this 1 Cor 13:1, then verse 4-7 we are giving this man love for free here,we do not know your nephew, nor did Jesus know us,when he gave his very life for us,and rose again so we can have the choice, and not be made to serve. We love him, because Jesus first loved us,Jesus want him to live!! if he askes for prove cool!! show him prove!! John 15:16 Your nephew like us was born into this world,to bear good fruit,to encourge, as well as be encourged to love, even as he is loved by all of us!! My prayers are with you!! Rick is loved!! And he can see for himself he is loved so much!! that he is forgiven, even as we all are forgiven for our sins! I send Rick LOVE from Jesus, and from those of us,who follow his graceful loving, wonderful name!

As someone who has previously been in the position he is in, my heart greatly aches. My prayers go out to you and all those close to him, and of course to him personally.

There's no shame in struggling, and we've all been there in one way or another. I hope that he's able to get through it and move forward. God can do wondrous things.

Praying for: Rick, Kathy, Matt, Kathyrn, and you, dpg3
+ RJ's "Nephew-in-law to be"

Abba Father, God of the impossible, I ask that You awaken Rick & RJ's Nephew-in-law-to-be to Your unconditional love,

envelop them in Your hope for the hopeless - no matter how things seem,

give them all Your peace,

reassure them that -- not only is life is worth living through your son Jesus Christ but, that peace, truth and freedom from terrible bondage is there to be received from You, and

reassure/remind all of them that --
You are still in control & are willing & "able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
Amen."

"from Ephesians 3:20-21 (New International Version)"
