Suffering and Glory

I suspect Jigger, that at one time you actually tried to live the way some of us are advocating, and it didn't work. So you decided that it was all hokum. Am I right?

Actually God revealed the truth to me and I stopped listening to those who propagate the false carnal teachings. But this has nothing to do with the OP so get back on track.

We have an incredible number of benefits provided by Jesus' finished work at the Cross. So yes you have given up on those bold promises made by Jesus himself. I'm calling it like I see it. I believe in all those promises and you don't seem to. So I don't see how you have faith to believe in everything Jesus did. You're the seed of Abraham like me, yet you don't believe in all the blessings that come from the New Covenant. You don't believe in tithing, nor sowing and reaping, nor being healed through Holy Communion, nor that you have the power in your words to change circumstances. And I and countless Christians do and see the results. So where's the faith in those areas brother? I'm not accusing you of having any less standing in the kingdom of God as me but you are living below your privileges because you have little faith in these things which God has given us to make our lives easier and to show His blessing in our lives. And you can change that Jiggy. God has given us many incredible teachers and preachers and resources in these last days for us to live victoriously. You have a right to disagree with me but please don't suggest that the Lord has somehow played a practical joke on Christians with His bold promises. Many Christians are seeing what He promises in His Word. The results are not always forthcoming but we need to stick with it man. And the simple truth is just because you have faith to believe you're saved, does not mean you have faith to claim all the other promsies that came through the Cross. You just need to feed your faith in the other areas. God's Word works.

Again we don't share the same opinion of the promises.

We suffer'in fer Jesus... Oh my....

Due to the fact that My Brother Jiggyfly is not the Author of the Original OP, but just a victim of a copy and paste accident. I can not comment on this thread, the content of the thread, or on Jiggyfly's Belief system.

However, IF Jiggyfly wishes to seek out the true meaning of putting the flesh under, and suffering for Jesus. A true test would be to invite Myself, Brother Rob, and brother El Hombre, for a day of fly fishing with brother Jiggyfly in a very small boat....

At the end of the day, I am sure Brother Jiggyfly would have his own material about the suffering for Jesus, that would be very true and dear to his heart..

Jesus Is Lord.

I'm sure you really feel that the three of you could give me the "truth" concerning "putting the flesh under" but no thanks I'll stick with my own experiences and the testimony and teaching of those who have experienced it rather than a group who theorizes about it claiming that mystically Christ was crucified on behalf of our flesh.
But if you have a problem with the OP then voice it and produce scripture to support your opinion and we can discuss it further.

Ohhhh stop the suffer'in!!!!!!!

If T. Austin-Sparks where here to help clarify his views, then talking about this in more depth would be appropriate.

However, the man is not here to give understanding of what he really meant, and it would not be fair to place the burden of proof on someone, such as yourself Jiggfly, as one would have to assume you and T Austin Sparks think exactly the same, on everything..

Also with my few years of experience with you personally would dictate to me that this would be a fools errand to even attempt some sort of debate or discussion about suffering for Jesus, the suffering of a believer or even the expected suffering a believer may occur while walking with the Master.

Next, It would put me in a position to pretend that life has been a bed of roses, and that there has been no opposition from the enemy and my faith just clears everything up at the drop of a hat, with little or no effort on my part. That is simply not true, and most of my issue are self inflicted. There is a Spiritual disobedience that greatly effects the places you end up, and things you encounter , things God never intended, Things you should have went after and have been diligent in, but let them slip. Nobody wants to fess up to those, and who could separate what was real resistance from obedience and what one has gone through for neglecting, even rejecting revelation in the word that would have saved them.

One thing Brother Jiggyfly... You confess the same Lord that I do, and I love you Brother...... and nobody had done a great of Job as you, getting me to think and reaffirm what I do believe..

Jesus Is Lord.

Jigger ...You have to keep in mind that you are our brother and our friend. We never never say things to hurt you or put you down. Any poke is in fun, never to hurt you. Sooooo Chill out dude.

I'd be bringing some nets Brother Mike.

Still....

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich ( 1) to be or become rich or wealthy, enrich, pretend to be rich
a) (Qal) to be or become rich
b) (Hiphil)
1) to make rich
2) to gain riches)
, and he addeth no sorrow with it.)

Now who will argue with God's Word. Who here is not the blessed?

(Puts on deep, obnoxious religious voice) "That's spiritual riches El Hombre." :sure:
