Struggling?

What I've learned... it all comes down to you making that decision. "Am I going to follow Christ or stay in the hole I've slid back into?" We live between our ears... I heard someone say once and it's so true. Our thought rule the way we live. So it's down to you, me and everyone else to make that decision to carry on. Why quit....when what GOD has for us so much greater than we could ever want in this world.

Remember the following....Joh 15:16 "You didn't choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won't spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.......HE CHOSE US

1Co 10:13 No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he'll never let you be pushed past your limit; he'll always be there to help you come through it...... HE ALWAYS GIVES US THE WAY OUT

So you see the decision is ours.

In case you were wondering why I can say this with such ease...I was bound by lust and porn and sex...HE SET ME FREE and every day the temptations are still there but HE gave me a choice! AND I CHOOSE HIM, JESUS CHRIST!

GOD BLESS guys and girls...my brothers and sisters. :boy_hug:

Hi DrInGeNd,

I'll say amen. Instead of looking at the struggle, just look to and choose Jesus. It makes each day a whole lot easier to live in especially when you know that He is control.

God bless!

Amen!

Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:

Thank you DrInGeNd for sharing.
I wish I could always choose Him, and His love.
We all have our moments of temptation and mistakes.
Glory to our Lord who always lead us to Him again. No matter what we do, He is always there to save us.
There's no better solution to our problems, no better answer to our questions, no better choice to have a life full of joy, love and everything our Lord can give us.
Blessings!

"I wish I could always choose Him, and His love."

I believe every true child of God would say that Haynaru...even Paul said it;

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The more we seek and learn of Christs righteousness, the more we see how utterly failing our own righteousness is! The more the child of God grows in grace, the more amazing His grace will appear, and the more he or she will thank God for it!

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

As the old song goes..."my hope rests on nothing less, than Jesus Christ and
His righteousness!"

I know this is an old thread, but I was doing a search on something and I started reading this thread. That's exactly how I feel Coconut, sometimes it's such a hard struggle.

Rom 9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

All my life I have been the one that wanted to be in control of everything, I am stubborn too. All my life I didn't trust people and always thought there intentions were wrong. So sometimes my actions and motive are all wrong and I don't know how to show real love towards people. I am constantly fighting it and asking God to help me with these issues. Of course the devil is telling me otherwise and saying I am wasting my time.

I just need to let it all go and allow Jesus my Lord to take care of it and believe it. It's hard sometimes.

Concentrate on the love of God

I think if we concentrate on the love and mercy of God our struggles will be nothing. So let us focus on the love and mercy of God.

How wonderful to know the love of Jesus. We all fall at times, but our God will never leave us, and He continues to pick us up. Praise the Lord!

In the foreword to "The Screwtape Letters", C. S. Lewis wrote that there are two things the demons really like: 1) People not believing in their existence, and 2) People obsessing over their existence.

The Bible says, "Resist the devil and he WILL flee from you" (Jas 4:7)

The devil came after Jesus more than once (see Lk 4:1-13). If he had the gall to take on the Son of God, its no surprise that he comes after us, too.
You have the power through the name of Jesus to send the devil packing whenever he attacks. Use Jesus' name to rebuke him and he will flee.

Your post sounds like you are obsessed with Satan. A good antidote to that is to study Psalm 23 and Philippians 4. Meditate on the good things of God. Get to church and be fed the Word of God. If you do that regularly and often, the devil won't be able to get in the door of your heart. Your heart will be filled with God and you'll be rejoicing a lot!

Thank you SpiritLedEd for your advice. I will mediate on Psalm 23 and Philippians 4.

I get my good days and bad days. Being a fairly new born Christian, I am still learning. I was thinking about going away for a few days to a retreat. I just need to to do some more research on this to find one nearby where I live. I really feel I need it, but my husband is against it, because when I spoke to him about going away somewhere for maybe 3 days, to just focus on God and take myself away from all these worldly things for a while he was'nt too happy.
