I have never heard a wealthy Christian complain about tithing, not saying there are not any, but I always hear the objection from those that barley get by each month, and that says something about their heart condition toward God.

Ooooooo...

Now you and I are going to have to duke it out!

Pray tell what does it say about their heart condition, please humor me!

Good post Coconut, the scriptures are indeed true but some meaning is lost or changed in translation. The biggest changes began with Jerome's Latin Vulgate, continued with Erasmus and then the revered KJV.

While some of the changes may have been sugar coating the original some of it is to the other extreme and made bitter to a large degree by diluting or even undoing Paul's message.

For even if you had ten thousand others to teach you about Christ, you have only one spiritual father. For I became your father in Christ Jesus when I preached the Good News to you. 1Cor. 4:15

Thank God He hasn't left us to ourselves, He has given us HolySpirit as our guide and teacher empowering us much like the Bereans in Paul's day.

With all the teachings and beliefs out there today and some are very old, even thousands of years old, we need to study and seek truth with the help of HolySpirit.

All Scripture is for reproof and doctrine. I don't pick and choose.

If he said tithe, and the windows will be open so there is not enough room to receive. He was talking to me!!

If ye said no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and nothing by any means shall hurt you. That includes Nukes, and he was talking to me.

If he said I will perfect all the things I am concerned about. He was talking to me.

If he said I have what I say, and my death, or my life is in the power of my tongue, I don't speak death, or even say I almost died laughing, I believe it, he was talking to me.

If he said He will supply all my need, then bill after bill can be stacked up with no thought or worry. He was talking to me.

If he said that I should obey and serve him, I will spend my years in prosperity, then he was talking to me.

If he said wealth and riches shall be in my house, I believe that, he was talking to me.

If he said all things are possible to them that believe, and by his stripes I am healed, then no sickness, or disease can stay on me. He was talking to me.your relationship

If he said love God with mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself, and speak only words that edify being a perfect man not offending in word or deed. Then He was talking to me, and by the word I will put myself into subjection.

The Word should change how you look at this World, it should change how you look at bad things. It brings peace, with no fear of anything.

Jesus Is Lord.

Mike,

As a WOF follower, have you ever wondered why another dedicated WOF believer ended up dying of some debilitating disease, or perhaps had to declare bankrupcy when he was innocent of any wrongdoing? You seem to view relationship with God as a sort of Quid Pro Quo (This for that) arrangement which you expect God to honor. Aren't you then in danger of violating Christ's command to "not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...." (Mt 6:19)?

WOF?

Thank you SpiritLedEd:

All those remarks brother are right out of scripture. It's not a WOF thing, it's a Word thing.

Psa 112:1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

IF we believe that we should fear the Lord, (I know you understand that, so I won't cover that.) and if we delight greatly in his Word, and commandments. We keep ourselves in subjection to that Love command, we don't steal, or watch Porn all day, but put God first.

Then Brother ED if we do believe that, and obey that then we also with just as much faith and diligence believe the result of what God said.

Psa 112:2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Psa 112:3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Ed, I just can't do my own things, follow my own life. My life my things must die, It's all God things now.

If I just went out on my wife a few times a month, maybe took some things that did not belong to me once in awhile. Then I am very clear on what the Word says.

All sin leads to death!!!!

You just don't get away with sin, God is not mocked, we will reap what we sow. Every man is awarded according to his deeds.

So, if we are assured a life of mess and destruction through sin, and know that to be true. Then a life of obedience, and faith in God would produce the opposite.

Job 36:11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

1 Sa 2:30.............Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

If I were to add all the praise reports, Miracles, I have seen, and added those on this very web site. It would far outweigh those that have gotten sick and died anyway despite believing the Lord for Healing, or those that went broke by obeying God.

One thing I have learned. You can't go broke, and Obey God in everything, You can't get sick and die, and do everything right. It's never God's fault.

We don't know everything, and everything that happens is not even (NOT ENOUGH FAITH) related. In fact, lots of it is not faith related.

William M Branham had a awesome healing ministry, Got way off on doctrine, God sent others to warn him. Killed by a drunk driver.

Katherine Kuhlman Died of heart failure, some believe she started to get in error, and started to hang around the Catholic denominations.

Aimee McPherson
At the time of her death in 1944 -- from an accidental overdose of barbiturates

So, I'll stick with what the Word says, and have what the Word says.
Oral Roberts lived a good long life, Kenneth Copeland at 78 still fly's his Jet Airplane, and confesses my youth is renewed like the Eagles.
Smith Wigglesworth died at 86 with Brother Hagin.

These are some of the men that did serve God and stay on track, and were blessed.

Jesus Is Lord.
