Emotions ruled the thirst
Sin is left involuntary
Even palpitated with fear,
I carried on

With increase blood gush
and muscles strained,
Lust is nurtured, each time
I pursue

For this long anxiety,
I just prayed
Grace pulled me back
and bathe me white.

And that is why it is good because it is real though it is unfortunate that you had to experience the pain in order to put it into such good form. In encouragement remember that David said

Ps 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. KJV

Through the temporary affliction he learned more obedience and to obey more consistently.
