Speaking lies.
Eph 4:29 LET NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT THAT WHICH IS GOOD TO THE USE OF EDIFYING, THAT IT MAY MINISTER GRACE UNTO THE HEARERS.
Question: which of these two saying are a lie, and which one is true?
(A) I am sick.
(B)1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED.
Which one would you believe to be true, A, or B? If God says we “WERE” healed, then why would we say we are sick? They both can not be true!!! Saying you are healed when we feel sick is not lying. How can a person be lying when he is speaking the truth? The truth is we are are lying when we are saying we are sick, because we are speaking contrary to what God said we are!!! Any word we say that is contrary to God's Word is a lie!!
A person saying they are sick when God says we are healed is “corrupt communication”!!! It does not edify, or minster grace to anyone when we say such things. But, brother Curtis I am only saying what I am experiencing according to my flesh!!! I am just being honest to myself and others. Speaking the truth has nothing to do with how we feel, or how honest we want to be with ourselves or others. Speaking the truth is based on what we “BELIEVE” in the Word, and not on how we feel.
Anything we say out of our mouths that is contrary to what God says we have, or are would be called corrupt communications, which are lies!!!
We do not want to come to the place were every thing we say causes a “RESET” in our faith.
Remember the game “Sorry” were you move your piece so many squares, and then all of a sudden you make a move that causes you to go back to the beginning? (Sorry)!!!
One day saying we are healed and then in a few days later we say we are sick causes our faith go right back to the beginning (Sorry) were we have to start all over again.
The Bible tells us that if we could control our “tongue” we can control our bodies.
James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. IF ANY MAN OFFEND NOT IN WORD, THE SAME IS A PERFECT MAN, AND ABLE ALSO TO BRIDLE THE WHOLE BODY.
The word, “BRIDLE” means to “control, direct, govern, and or to lead” The problem is man can not control his own tongue on his own, he needs help!!!
James 3:8 But THE TONGUE CAN NO MAN TAME; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
Man needs to know what words to speak out of his mouth that can control, his body, and his life in the direction it needs to go, whether it is in ministering to others or keeping his body from being “defiled”!!
Even Jesus Christ the Son of God did not chose his own words, he only spoke what his Father gave him to say...
John 12:49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak.
The only words a man can speak to give him this ability comes down out of Heaven in the form of “the Wisdom that comes from above”
James 3:17 But THE WISDOM THAT IS FROM ABOVE is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Jesus is the Wisdom, and the power of God that came down from above to give us the Words to speak.
His Words are Spirit, and they are life to those who speak it!!! His Words alone are “truth” (John 17:17)
