The phrase "son of God" doesn't appear in the old testament anywhere. However the phrase sons (with a plural "s") does appear a few places.
Dan 3:25; would be the closest. This is likely talking about Jesus. But it says "like" the Son of God.
Gen 6:2; that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.
Gen 6:4; The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
Job 1:6; Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.
Job 2:1; Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD.
Job 38:7; When the morning stars sang together And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Most scholars believe these verses are about angels. But not everyone agrees.
Interesting enough the phrase "son of man" appears over 100 times in the old testament. More than half of these are in Ezekiel. God usually addressed Ezekiel as "son of man" rather than by his name.
Twice in Daniel we see this phrase. Once pertaining to Daniel, the other is a prophecy of Jesus. ( Dan 7:13; )
Genesis 6:2 and 6:4; are the only two places "daughters of men" are used.
However this all changes quite a bit in the New Testament.
Jesus called Himself the "son of man" more often than any other name. This phrase appears over 80 times in the new Testament. I could not find any instance of this phrase, where it wasn't pertaining to Jesus.
The phrase "son of God" is used over 40 times in the New Testament, usually about Jesus, but not always. For example Adam is called the son of God in Luke 3:38;
Satan is the first person to call Jesus the "son of God" in the new Testament. ( Matt 4:3; Luke 4:3; )
The demons also call Jesus the son of God. ( Matt 8:29; Mark 3:11; ) I find it interesting that even though the demons and unclean spirits hated Jesus, they still bowed before Him. ( Mark 3:11; )
The Bible says we have to believe Jesus is "the" Son of God.
1Jn 4:15; Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
1Jn 5:5; Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Men can be "sons of God" under certain conditions.
Matt 5:9; "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Luke 20:36; for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Rom 8:14; For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Rom 8:19; For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
Gal 3:26; For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Luke 6:35; "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

If you're a peacemaker - you might be a son of God.
If you are led by the Spirit - you might be a son of God.
If you have faith in Jesus - you might be a son of God.
If you love your enemies - you might be a son of God.
Romans 8:19; says the sons of God haven't been revealed yet. God hasn't revealed who they are to anyone yet.
John 1:12; But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
John 1:12; says if we "receive" Jesus, then we have the right to become a son/daughter of God. If we believe in His name.
Whole threads have been written about what is means to believe in and receive Jesus. It's still debated for reasons I cannot fathom.
Jesus is the only Son of God (uppercase S) but we can become sons (daughters) of God (lowercase s) through faith and obedience to Jesus.
In fact, it's really the only way we can become the children of God... is through Jesus.
