Does it say anywhere in the bible about enslaving people from other nations, and if so, can someone give me a verse?

Hi Chris...and welcome.

You will recall that Israel, the sons of Jacob were enslaved in Egypt after the death of Joseph. The bible says "there arose a new Pharoah that knew not Joseph and he began to make the lives of the sons of Jacob bitter with hard labour.

The reason is sinful mastery, the 'spirit' the devil that cause men to enslave their fellow man....even today. Some dear people lead torturous and abusive lives as a resut of mans inhumanity to man.

Christianity and the message of the 'cross' and salvation in Jesus is the only remedy for slavery and such manifestation throught the world today.

I appologise, I should've reworded this. I was trying to find if there were any prophets or preachers in the bible that talked about enslaving other nations, like a Jewish nation going to war with another nation and enslaving their people.

Leviticus 25:44 deals with slavery

“‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

Yes, I've seen those verses quite a few times. But still, not what I'm looking for. Has there been anything recorded scripture about enslaving, not to say buy, people from other nations?

Is there a specific question or idea that you want to explore?

The verses I posted do deal with enslaving people from other nations.

Basically, prisoners of war getting enslaved by nations that follow God. Asking this cause someone said that there were and I don't want to lie or mislead.

Kidnapping is a capital offense in the Bible.

At one point, the Israelites went to war to get wives for the men of the tribe of Benjamen to save them from extinction. But, this was done without God's instruction and they were acting in a lawless fashion.

It wasn't feasible to have idle POWs in ancient times. A prisoner was either executed or made a slave.

Slavery was necessary in ancient times as a way to add value to people without much value. It's no different than someone under contract today, except back then life was a lot tougher for everyone.
