Can a person sin after rebirth? NO!
1 John 3:9. It clearly says that any person that is born of God, rebirth, cannot sin, because he is born of God! God's seed remain in Him. Before this person can sin again, God would have to remove his seed, and the person would die! God's seed is the Life that person now lives, and if God removes that Lif, then death occurs!
To confirm this "cannot sin" God says in 1 John 5:18. .. Look we should know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not... These people keep themselves and sin touch them not! Why? Because the same seed that was in Jesus is in these people! This is what rebirth means. We are not reborn, into ourselves! Jesus is reborn into us, and we are passed on to the Father.
The fleshly body I once moved, cannot sin, because it is being moved by God's Spirit now! I am not here to do sin, where I went to...God.. There is no sin! In God is no sin! And Jesus cannot sin, not in the flesh He moved when he died on the cross, and not in the flesh he moves today! These flesh are refered to as the Body of Christ. The Children of God, and the holy people the Word talks about.
Read Ephesians 4:11,12,13. Saints - people without sin, but not perfected yet. They would be perfected by the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, PAstors and teachers. Unto perfect men!
Any person that has the Spirit of God cannot sin, because God cannot sin! And He has to move out before that flesh can sin. If He does move out, He never moves back in again! That is the sin against the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 10:26. Believe me we will not recieve the knowledge of the Truth before we recieve the Spirit! The Spirit comes first, and with Him comes the knowledge. I have not recieved the Spirit yet, but I can read and I can believe, what I read, or choose not too! So can you! The choice is vital, though, because the choices effects our destination. In God, or in Satan! Choose! And you cannot choose both!
One more thing I believe. I believe Zacharias and Elisabeth were both righteous before God. Wow! that means they also were blameless. Even before God, read Luke 1:6. Oh they may have sinned in the past, but they stopped, otherwise they would not be blameless, and this was before the Spirit was in them. But God desided to keep them clean, because He can! He is God, and everything that belongs to Him He cleans and make holy! Amen!
