Let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years. Judges 5:31

This is very appealing imagery, and you’re probably glad to envision yourself ardently loving God, proceeding triumphantly through your day. This is also a scene of great joy. God states that the sun “bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding” (Psalm 19:5). And Jesus said that the righteous shall “shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father” (Matthew 13:43).

But there’s a price tag for acquiring such power and glory, and it’s often passing through deep, fiery trials. John described a glorious heavenly being, saying that his feet were shimmering “like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace” (Revelation 1:15). Precious metals are purified in a furnace, and the process is similar for believers. God says, “I have refined you…in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10).

You may be going through a difficult phase in your life—a time of seemingly endless testing and frustration—and wonder what good can possibly come of it. Hang on a little longer! God is purifying you. “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold…So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor” (1 Peter 1:7).

Of course the other half of this verse says...

Jdg 5:31; "Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD; ...

Of course, but the focus here is the sun, perseverance, but if requesting that His enemies perish lifts you up. Who am I to deny you brother? ;)
Which leaves to another discussion....are the unsaved His enemies? Then of course if they become saved through Christ Jesus, they will no longer be. So, in this New Covenant, would it be better to seek their conversion instead of death?

Love you brother! You do keep it interesting! Manly Hug brother!

I can't say I've ever asked for Jesus "to kill someone" because they didn't love Him. The fact remains, they will die whether I request it or not.
By all means we should pray for the lost.

I view the lost in two categories... some are lost in ignorance. They've never known the truth and are looking for answers, peace, love whatever
they can't find in the world.

Others don't want Jesus. They've heard of Him. They consciously reject Him and are doing everything in their power to cause others to reject Him.
Are the unsaved His enemies? I think some are... yes.

Rev 19:15; From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.

Rev 2:16; 'Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.

Rev 2:21; 'I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.
Rev 2:22; 'Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.

Rev 3:15; 'I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.
Rev 3:16; ' 'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.

So what do you think? Does Jesus have enemies?
