Let the redeemed of the LORD say [so], whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; Psalm 107:2 KJV
The enemy often tempts believers to stay quiet about their faith. He knows that if he is successful, then not only will those around us not turn to us for spiritual answers, but our hesitation to declare Christ’s redeeming power will result in a weakening of our own faith. Today’s verse is a call for the redeemed of the Lord to say so.
In Matthew 5:14-15, Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”
In what ways are you lighting a candle and putting it on a candlestick to light the sphere of influence God has placed you in? Are you praying for such opportunities before you start your normal daily routines that take you around those who are not redeemed? You have been redeemed from the hand of Satan. It’s time to tell other captives about the freedom they can experience in Christ. As you do, you’ll find that your faith becomes stronger—more unshakable.
Prayer: Father, provide an opportunity for me to share my testimony with someone today. Strengthen my faith as I do.
