I bowed before the Lord and raised my hands in praise.
The night offered no solace.
The shadow in the night offered what I must become.
I saw only my shadow staring back at me.
I must shadow the Lord. I must follow His lead.
I must fall back and let the Lord take me His shadow where I must go.
I must be like Him in everyway. But He must shine in the lead.
To shadow such an image is a task that is so tough.
I fall, I fail, and I hurt. Then He looks down on me and offers His hand.
The more the Lord shines in me and the more that others see,
The more I become what He expects me to be, His shadow.
The disciples followed in His shadow everywhere it fell.
They became what Jesus was, the shadow of His Father.
Jesus said that He was doing what His Father told him.
All He did was to Shadow His Father.
Jesus let the Father Shine.
Jesus said that when we see Him then we have seen the Father.
So I beckon of you to do the same, become as the shadow of the Lord.
