But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. "But go, tell His disciples--and Peter--that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you." Mark 16:6-7 NKJV
The women had a plan. It wasn’t a fully formed plan—they had no idea how they were going to roll the stone away from the tomb’s entrance—but the women knew they had to see Jesus again. So early in the morning, they gathered spices to anoint His body and went to the tomb where He was buried. But things didn’t go as planned.
You probably have a plan for your life. It may not be a fully formed plan. Maybe it only covers eating, working, and sleeping, but it’s a plan. Then the unexpected happens and the plan goes out the window.
Like the women at the tomb found out, when you plan to seek Jesus, you will find Him, even if it’s not where you thought He’d be.
Matthew 7:7-8 says, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Prayer: Lord, help me find You where You are, not where I’d expect You to be.
