seeking guidance with mentally ill mother

I just need help from someone that can understand my situation. Im the only one in my immediate family that follows God so its hard for me to encourage my siblings about my mom. She suffers from bipolar disorder. My grandma and I are the ones praying and we just feel overwhelmed. I feel guilty for not putting effort in research for what my mom deals with but I just get angry that family judge us and treat her like a freak when she isnt what she suffers. its hard to talk to anybody because its not the same as everyday struggles. i hope this isnt insensitive but it feels like people dont understand that its easier to grieve someone that has died rather than grieving someone that is alive and sufferring something you cant help them with. i know the enemy is trying to fill my mind with doubt but i am fasting with my grandma and pushing through to attack whatever this bondage is. If you hear my moms terstimony, she is such a hardworking woman and she has a very gooooooood job that pays her well. but unfortanley she loses it here and there from being off meds or whatnot ( dont want to go too much into detail) but she wasnt like this until my sister was born. I understand from hearing her story why she recieved that and i know that she can be healed but i hate that im the only one that thinks that or at least thats what it feels like. Its just hard to deal with though cause she has moments of "mania" where she calls me a demon or the b word and talks about sexual stuff to openly and soooo much about zodiac signs, im only 24 trying to live my life as well its hard to deal with this. I just need encouragement i feel like the enemy is trying to take away my hope that she will be healed. its weird becasue my brothers wife studies mental illness professionally and isnt christian and i hate that she plants seeds of doubt in my brothers mind, who isnt strong in his christian faith but is aware God is real, that my mother is only going to get worse with this condition which i whole heartdely believe isnt true but it hurts and i feel like im fighting this alone. anyone with family that have mental illness truly unerstand the hard struggle. I please want to ask for prayers from as many ppl that see this for my beautiful mother who just happened to have alot of trauma and wasnt taught how to regulate her emotions and dealing with worldly things and getting attacked while giving birth to my little sister with bipolar disorder. the stories i hear of who she was before this spirit took over gives me hope that she will be healed. please help me with encouragemnt from the word, and what verses i should read daily because i almost lost myself as well.

Bipolar is a dissociative disorder, as is bpd. Its just hidden behind a shell of a person that doesnt know how to contain their separate parts.

The mania personality is its own separate person who has to be dealt with as if it is its own person.

And to add to the complexity, the two sides, mania and depression, do not have complete communication with each other. Intellectually they may have the same memories, but the emotional perspectives are different.

Unfortunately the mental health industry doesnt see these things as fixable, because statistically they are not. They stay on meds forever to sedate the mania side while the depressive side goes to therapy..forever. reality is both sides need to be engaged with, and pushed, sometimes physically, to mature. (Men with these problems go to prison, women get divorced over and over again, rarely going to prison for domestic violence, because they being weaker cant really do enough damage to get more than a third degree assault charge).

You can prevail in prayer if the person wants to be healed. Often they do not.

And sometimes its not your place to even get involved.

But i can tell you the only thing that works, is prophetic.

You need to basically ask God what to do. What to say, what questions to ask your mom, etc.

If she is willing to pray with you and i presume her mom, then try doing that. Start by praying with your grandma alone for guidance, then engage your mom with the both of you, and ask God to bring to your mom's mind: What she needs to pray about.

This is basic investigative prayer 101.

I provided sometimes questionable assistance to a woman 14 years ago who is diagnosed as BPD when really she is more like partial DID instead, and her children (eldest now 40+), have repeatedly thanked me for the help, as recently as last year.

I would say it took a decade from 2012 to 2020, before she quit confusing one of her alternate personalities, with the Holy Spirit.

So please expect your mom to hear m some strange things. She may even need an exorcism

I just need help from someone that can understand my situation. Your situation is not unique, nor is it impossible for God! The problem is, evangelical Christianity has not taught its congregations how to wage effective spiritual warfare, so we are like babes trying to learn how to walk. The good news is, you can indeed learn to walk and even to run! Im the only one in my immediate family that follows God So you, as a believer, are a prime target of Satan in your family, because he knows that the potential is there for the salvation of your mum and your grandma. so its hard for me to encourage my siblings about my mom. She suffers from bipolar disorder. As a deliverance minister, I have never met anyone whose "BPD" was not demonically induced. My grandma and I are the ones praying As an unbeliever, your grandma may be unwittingly doing the bidding of Satan to obstruct your prayers. and we just feel overwhelmed. I feel guilty for not putting effort in research for what my mom deals That time has passed because you are now "putting effort in research." Also know that guilt = condemnation (not of God). with but I just get angry that family judge us and treat her like a freak when she isnt Jesus explained that allegiance to him can cause deep division even within close households. He came to bring division rather than earthly peace and described how a household will be divided against one another. what she suffers. its hard to talk to anybody because its not the same as everyday struggles. i hope this isnt insensitive but it feels like people dont understand that its easier to grieve someone that has died rather than grieving someone that is alive and sufferring something you cant help them with. Well, now that you are becoming aware of what authority you actually possess in Christ, you can be used of God to change your mum's (and grandma's) situation! i know the enemy is trying to fill my mind with doubt but i am fasting with my grandma and pushing through to attack whatever this bondage is. EXCELLENT! ~ If you hear my moms terstimony, she is such a hardworking woman and she has a very gooooooood job that pays her well. but unfortanley she loses it here and there from being off meds Trusting in meds is satanic. And one more poor choice leads to more bondage. Meds open even more doors to the demonic. They cure NOTHING and only strengthen the bondage loop. or whatnot ( dont want to go too much into detail) but she wasnt like this until my sister was born. I understand from hearing her story why she recieved that and i know that she can be healed but i hate that im the only one that thinks that or at least thats what it feels like. It only takes ONE believer, standing in the authority of the Most High God, to effect a positive outcome for your mum. Its just hard to deal with though cause she has moments of "mania" where she calls me a demon or the b word and talks about sexual stuff to openly and soooo much about zodiac signs, That's straight up witchcraft. Those devils know when you are getting close to home ("home" is what they consider your mum to be for them!), so they manifest themselves when you get too close. Expect it. im only 24 trying to live my life as well its hard to deal with this. I just need encouragement i feel like the enemy is trying to take away my hope that she will be healed. EXACTLY! its weird becasue my brothers wife studies mental illness professionally and isnt christian and i hate that she plants seeds of doubt in my brothers mind OF COURSE ! As an unbeliever, such "seed planting" is the norm for devils. It's because your brother's wife possesses nothing of godly authority to contribute. She is like a city without walls i.e. defenseless - just a tool to be used by Satan's boyz. , who isnt strong in his christian faith but is aware God is real, It's time to wise up your brother to this high-stakes spiritual battle; it's time for both of you to equip yourself with the armor of God and take authority over the darkness. that my mother is only going to get worse with this condition which i whole heartdely believe isnt true but it hurts and i feel like im fighting this alone. You're not alone. #1 - you AND your brother have the Holy Spirit. Time to start walking the talk and get in the fight! anyone with family that have mental illness truly unerstand the hard struggle. I please want to ask for prayers from as many ppl that see this for my beautiful mother who just happened to have alot of trauma Ok, know that trauma is probably the most common way that doors get opened to Satan. Because we trusted worldly means (e.g. meds, etc.) for the solution to our trauma instead of turning to Christ, Satan gains legal access to us. and wasnt taught how to regulate her emotions and dealing with worldly things and getting attacked while giving birth to my little sister with bipolar disorder. Check this: childbirth is one of the most emotionally laden experiences a human can have, so OF COURSE Satan would be all over that, looking for open doors... the stories i hear of who she was before this spirit took over You got that right about "this spirit took over." It's time to flip the table and go on the offensive spiritually! gives me hope that she will be healed. please help me with encouragemnt from the word, and what verses i should read daily because i almost lost myself as well. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, created in God's image. This is why you and yours are Satan's main targets. Expect to be targeted, but DON'T FRET OVER IT. All who call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

I posted this in another thread, but it's applicable here, as well. franches, if you're serious about winning your battle, then consider this prayer:

Father God, I believe that Jesus is your Son who was crucified and rose from the dead, paying the price for my sins. I come to you now seeking your deliverance from devils that are attacking my family members and me. I confess that I have broken your Law by assenting to the spirit of fear and making choices that do not honor you. My sins are out of control and I am powerless to stop the consequences. I hate my sins and I willfully turn from them now. Please forgive me and give me the strength to continue to resist. Please show me where I or others have allowed devils to torment my family and me. Show me the open doors in my life, so that I can confess them, shut them, repent/turn from them, and forgive everyone involved. Please equip me to fight the good fight and to stand in the gap for my family members. In Jesus' name I pray this, amen.

You can prevail in prayer if the person wants to be healed. Often they do not.
Yes. Many times I have had to tell someone to "come back later, when you're desperate." And relatively few do. Most just want a quick fix without actually doing anything. But I don't believe that is franches' intention or situation here.

And sometimes its not your place to even get involved.
This is franches' family, and franches possesses the authority (as a daughter) to effect her mum's world for Christ.

But i can tell you the only thing that works, is prophetic.

You need to basically ask God what to do. What to say, what questions to ask your mom, etc.
Yes.

If she is willing to pray with you and i presume her mom, then try doing that. Start by praying with your grandma alone for guidance, then engage your mom with the both of you, and ask God to bring to your mom's mind: What she needs to pray about.

Yes, but know that the enemy may use unbelieving grandma against franches.

So please expect your mom to hear m some strange things. She may even need an exorcism
An exorcist is one who attempts to expel evil spirits by conjuration, prayers, and ceremonies. Rather, in Scripture, true authority over demons comes exclusively through alignment with and faith in Jesus Christ, not through secular or ritualistic incantations.

"Exorcism" has traditionally been a Catholic term; whereas deliverance is scriptural.
