In these and those, through many different ways
we cross the path upon which our fate certainly lays
our sins for which we receive proper scold
these words to sinners grow so very old
yet you rather hope to almost grasp
but unfortunately your hand fails to clasp
shadows will gather and together they call
but who shall they question to take the fall?
the heat of the night shall always bring on a fight
so stay close to your lord and bask in the light
