How can God be omniscient? How can he be all knowing about everything everywhere at all time?
About Time:
We intuitively understand that time is ticking by for all of us at the same rate. The truth is completely different.
Einstein's theory of General Relativity predicted that time is actually relative. Gravity slows it down. The earth's core is a couple years younger than the earth's surface. If a twin spends the day working in the basement and the other spends the day working in the upstairs office when they meet in the kitchen at dinner, the office twin is slightly older than the basement twin. The office twin has traveled into the future or the basement twin has traveled into the past.
Speed (velocity) also changes the flow of time. A twin could travel in a space ship at high speed and return to earth a year older while the earthbound twin could have aged by 50 years. At a higher speed the earthbound twin could have been dead for 500 years after a 1 year (to him/her) trip. The higher the speed the slower time passes.
Both these phenomena of gravity & speed must be very accurately calculated by GPS satellites since they experience time speed up due to their altitude and time slow down due to their speed.
The speed of light:
Einstein also found that there is a speed limit in our universe. Attempting to pass that speed limit is impossible as mass increases to infinity as the speed of light is approached requiring infinite energy to increase speed at that point. The phenomena above in which time slows down with increased speed would completely stop time if we could reach the speed of light but God's creation does not allow it.
Quantum physics' quantum entanglement:
As if Einstein's predicted and observed very strange behavior of time and the the universal speed limit wasn't enough, quantum entanglement comes around and blows our mind even more. Although the speed of light is very high it is not infinite. Traveling at the speed of light essentially stops time. Quantum entanglement shows instant connection despite vast distances. God has baked into the universe a mechanism by which He can be instantly connected with every particle in the universe. This is mind blowing as causality itself is in question.
It seems like God will not let us use this phenomena for for faster-than-light communication. I totally trust His wisdom in limiting us yet still giving us a small glimpse of His glorious greatness.
Although I personally find joy and humility in viewing a glimpse of His glorious greatness in His creation, this is totally unnecessary for Christians. His word in the bible and the Holy Spirit guiding us is all we need.
